About Dr. Whitney Denton

Dr. Denton earned her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Alabama-Birmingham after completing her undergraduate degree in Biology at Birmingham-Southern College. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Atlanta Medical Center, serving as chief resident. She is board certified in Family Medicine and an active member of the AMA, AAFP and GAFP. Dr. Denton enjoys practicing the full scope of family medicine and has a special interest in women's health and pediatric and adolescent medicine. Prior to moving to the East Cobb area, she practiced with Wellstar Physicians Group at their West Cobb office for seven years. Dr. Denton grew up in the East Cobb area and is a Pope High School graduate. She enjoys spending time with her busy family of three daughters, gourmet cooking and gardening.
