About Dr. Elijah Engwall
Dr. Elijah Engwall graduated from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Doctor of Osteopathy degree and is board-certified in Family Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Throughout his academic career, he was a member of the National Honor Society, as well as a student honor athlete and champion in track and field. Dr. Engwall is dedicated to community service and served as a volunteer throughout his academic career for various non-profit organizations. He also completed a medical mission trip to Honduras and Dominican Republic by providing critical health care to underserved nations.

Although the physician appeared friendly , I would’ve appreciated more bedside manner. It may have not been his intention, but his responses to questions came off as condescending and matter of fact , not helpful. Based on his tone and demeanor, it was hard to be vulnerable and I do not believe that he created a safe space . Going to any physician can be nerve-racking and uncomfortable , and I would hope that the doctor would help to make you feel comfortable, but unfortunately, that was not my experience .
