Elias Zakkak is Vice President of Engineering at Zocdoc. He leads product engineering and infrastructure technology teams that focus on solving the most important problems for providers. Under Elias’s direction, his teams balance moving quickly today with building the right technical infrastructure and processes for the future.

Since joining the company in 2011, Elias has played an important role in building technology that helps doctors easily reach the patients they want to serve. This includes early efforts to digitize patient intake, new products that help providers manage their patient panels, improvements that make it easier for practices to join Zocdoc, building Zocdoc’s industry-leading EHR integrations, and more. Additionally, he led the company-wide technology changes required to enable Zocdoc’s business model transformation. 

Prior to Zocdoc, Elias worked at S&P Capital IQ. There, he drove the development of products to visualize financial information for almost any dataset, and enabled real-time analytics for users via solutions to accelerate data querying by over 1000x.

Elias has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. In his spare time, he loves a good puzzle and playing legos with his family.
