Kamini is the Chief Technology Officer at Zocdoc, where she oversees the engineering and data teams that build and scale Zocdoc’s platform. She brings extensive experience pioneering large scale technology and people transformations at marketplace companies to deliver value to the business and customers.
Most recently, Kamini was the VP of Infrastructure Engineering at Airbnb. Her teams were responsible for the backend systems that power Airbnb’s search and recommendations, as well as other vital parts of the company’s technical foundation including Data Platform, Machine Learning Infrastructure, Cloud Infrastructure, Developer Platform, and Site Reliability Engineering. Prior to that, Kamini spent six years at LinkedIn, where she led infrastructure and productivity engineering teams for the flagship website and apps. At both companies, she championed inclusion and belonging in the workplace as a sponsor for employee resource groups.
Earlier in her career, Kamini spent 11 years at eBay, progressing from an engineer to leading large engineering organizations and oversaw the company’s international expansion.
Born and raised in Madras (now Chennai), India, Kamini holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication from College of Technology as well as a Masters in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade. She moved to the US to pursue a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina. Today, she lives in the Bay Area with her spouse and two children.
