You’ll get a link to join your appointment from Zocdoc if your provider uses Zocdoc’s video services.

Otherwise, your provider will send you their own instructions and link to join.

The email with your appointment details, appointment reminder emails, and text messages will provide instructions about how to join your video visit.

If you’ve booked a video visit that will take place through Zocdoc’s video services, you can join your video visit on your computer, your phone, or through the Zocdoc mobile app. (At this time, you cannot access your visit on a tablet.)

Whether you use a computer or phone to join your video visit, you need to make sure you have a compatible browser.

*Please note: You won't be able to join your video visit using Internet Explorer.

If you're using a phone, you can also join your video visit through the Zocdoc app. You must a) have the latest version of the Zocdoc app and b) you must enable app access to your camera and microphone.

If you booked your video visit on Zocdoc, the link to join your video visit will be in the email with your appointment details from Zocdoc, as well as in the email and text message reminders you receive before your appointment.

You can also find a link to join your video visit by logging into your Zocdoc account on your computer or phone, or in the Zocdoc app, and viewing your upcoming appointments.

Please note: If the provider uses a third-party video platform, follow the instructions they send you. If you have any issues with a link sent by your provider, please contact them directly.

Once you’ve clicked the link to join your video visit, you'll be able to enter the virtual waiting room 15 minutes before your appointment time. If you're not logged into Zocdoc, or did not book on Zocdoc, fill in your name and appointment time, accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, then click Enter waiting room.

If you booked on Zocdoc and are logged in, you will skip this step.

Click Enable camera and microphone so that your provider can see and hear you.

Please stay in the waiting room until your provider starts your appointment. Your video visit will automatically start when your provider joins the video visit. If your provider is more than 10 minutes late, please contact them directly.
