On your computer or phone, you can add medical, dental, and/or vision insurance information to your Zocdoc account by going to your account settings and selecting Insurance.
If you’re using the Zocdoc app, you can also add your insurance information by going to My Account and then selecting Insurance.
There are two ways you can add your insurance information:
Manually select your insurance carrier and plan.
Upload an image of your medical insurance card (this is not available for your vision or dental plans). When you upload an image, we will scan it and identify your likely insurance plan.
You have the option of adding your member ID as well. When you add your member ID, for some of your appointments, it improves our ability to determine your expected copay or coinsurance. Some providers may require you to have your member ID on your Zocdoc account to book appointments with them.
If your insurance plan changes, you can update your information in the same way: by manually selecting your new carrier and plan or, for medical insurance, by uploading an image of your new insurance card.
To update your medical insurance card on your computer, click Delete to remove your existing card image and then upload a new image. On the app, click the small pencil icon to update your information.
Why should I add my insurance to my Zocdoc account?
Adding your insurance information to your Zocdoc account can make it easier to search for providers who are in-network with your plan. If you book an appointment on Zocdoc, we will share your insurance information with your provider before your appointment to prevent any insurance issues.
