Why should I trust the reviews on Zocdoc?
All verified Zocdoc reviews are submitted by patients who interacted with the practice they booked their appointment with. To submit a review, patients must be logged into their Zocdoc account or use a link sent to the email tied to their account. This ensures that all reviews come from real patients who interacted with the practice.
Our goal is to create a useful, representative, and reliable resource that you can depend on. That means we publish positive reviews, negative reviews, and everything in between.
Does Zocdoc only post positive reviews?
We post positive reviews, negative reviews, and everything in between. You can trust that you are seeing a representative slice of feedback that is useful to you.
Users can choose to post reviews anonymously, and as outlined in our Community Standards, providers are prohibited from influencing reviews or taking action against users who leave a negative review.
Does Zocdoc moderate patient reviews?
Yes, we have an entire team dedicated to examining all reviews for compliance with our guidelines (see below) to ensure that we’re building a system that’s helpful to both patients and providers.
I submitted a review. Why hasn’t it been posted yet?
It may take up to three days for your submission to be reviewed before publishing. Keep in mind that some providers have chosen not to display their reviews on Zocdoc. Don’t let this stop you from leaving feedback; Zocdoc will still receive your review and we want to hear about your experience.
Are there instances where you won’t post my review?
Yes, your review may not be posted if it violates these guidelines:
Profanity: We won’t publish anything profane, vulgar, or otherwise offensive.
Personal information: We take your privacy seriously. We won’t post reviews that include personally identifiable information such as your full name, phone number, email address, etc.
Pricing specifics: It’s fine to state your opinion of whether a provider’s service came at a good price, but we won’t publish pricing specifics related to insurance coverage. These comments tend to reflect more on insurance providers than providers. However, you can include any fees that would apply regardless of insurance coverage (cash pay costs or concierge fees, cancellation fees, parking fees, etc)
Accuracy of treatment or diagnosis: We encourage you to describe your feelings about the provider’s treatment of you as a patient. However, we don’t publish claims about the accuracy of a provider’s treatment and diagnosis as we are unable to verify them.
Promotional content: We want our reviews to be as relevant as possible, so we don’t post reviews that promote an unrelated website, product, topic, or other item that is unrelated to the patient experience.
What happens if my review is not accepted?
If your review is not accepted, you will get an email letting you know, with a link you can use to edit and resubmit your feedback. If there's no link, or if you prefer, go to Past appointments in your Zocdoc account (or Appointments in the Zocdoc app) to edit and resubmit your review.
Can I edit my review?
You can request to edit a review as long as it's within 120 days of your appointment date, even if the review has already been approved and posted.
To request an edit, please contact the service team. Once your request is submitted, our team will review it and email you a link to edit your review, typically within one to two business days.
After 120 days from your appointment date, edits are no longer available. However, you can still make a request to our Service team to have your posted review removed.
