Understanding your Patient Choice dashboard

Use the Patient Choice dashboard to see current badge status and track qualification progress.

Updated over 8 months ago

The Patient Choice dashboard gives you a clear view of which providers at your practice currently have the badge, and how providers are tracking toward qualification at the next quarterly assessment.

What information is in the Patient Choice dashboard?

The dashboard includes two tabs:

  • Current qualification status: This tab shows which providers are currently displaying the Patient Choice badge in search results and on their Zocdoc profiles. Qualification is evaluated quarterly based on the prior quarter’s performance. You’ll see whether each provider has the badge—and if not, which criteria weren’t met.

  • Next Assessment: This tab provides a look ahead to the next quarterly evaluation. It shows real-time metrics for each provider, including which criteria they’ve met, and which they still need to meet to qualify at the next assessment.

Cancellation rate and average rating may fluctuate throughout the quarter. As a result, “Qualification status” in this tab may also fluctuate between “Criteria met” and “Criteria not yet met.”

In both tabs, you can filter or search by provider, and use the Download button to export a .csv of all qualification data for all your providers.

What should I do if providers didn’t qualify for the badge?

If providers didn’t qualify for the badge or aren’t on track to qualify at the next assessment, review their metrics to see which criteria were missed. You can also check out these tips for meeting the Patient Choice criteria.

Frequently asked questions

Why don’t I see the Patient Choice dashboard when I log into Zocdoc?

The Patient Choice dashboard is rolling out in July and August. If you don’t see the dashboard when you log into your account, check back soon.

Why is the average rating on the Patient Choice dashboard different from the average rating on my provider profile?

Reviews requested from existing patients are factored into the average rating on your provider profile, but are not included in Patient Choice criteria. Your Patient Choice average rating includes reviews from patients who book with you through Zocdoc, whether through the Zocdoc Marketplace, your Google Business Profile, or your Book Online Button.

Why does the dashboard say we need to integrate or upgrade our integration to be eligible for Patient Choice?

To participate in the Patient Choice program, providers must use a read and write Calendar Integration. This type of integration automatically updates Zocdoc with appointment and cancellation data from your EHR, ensuring accuracy in the metrics used for qualification.

We set up a read and write Calendar Integration. Why don’t I see the badge on our provider profiles?

Using a read and write Calendar Integration makes you eligible to participate in the Patient Choice program. We will review your providers’ qualification criteria at the next quarterly assessment. Check the “Next assessment” tab to see where each provider stands. Note: It can take up to 5 days after you complete your integration for your dashboard to display the "Next assessment" tab.

We integrated, but our dashboard still says we need to integrate / upgrade our integration. Why?

It can take about a week for the dashboard to update after you set up a read and write integration. After the dashboard updates, you’ll be able to track provider progress toward the qualification criteria in the “Next assessment” tab.
