Dr. Richard Simons is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he received his medical degree. He completed two residencies in internal medicine, one at the University of Michigan and the other at Pennsylvania State University. He is fellowship-trained in geriatric medicine at the University of North Carolina. A devoted internist and primary care doctor, he believes in listening to each patient and creating a partnership to maintain and improve lifelong health.

This was my first visit with Dr. Richard Simons, and I couldn’t have any happier. Not only did I found Dr. Richard Simons impressively knowledgeable in his field of internal medicine, but also he’s bedside manners is caring. Even though it was my first time seeing him, I felt pretty comfortable interacting with him as he treated me like a person, but not a number to check off his obviously busy practice. Being a new patient in his practice in transition from another state, he was proactive in making sure I had my prescriptions refilled in a timely fashion. I had been worried about running out of my medication that I received from my out of state prior PCP, but my worries melted away when he proactively asked
me whether I needed refills right away! In short, Dr. Richard Simons was in total command of the facts and plans of action during my first visit with him. I’ll recommend him to my loved ones and friends without hesitation.
