“Great first experience, I feel very comfortable going back! The staff were all very helpful and patient with my questions. Everyone was very friendly, and all in all very quick. I never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes during any part of my appointment. Dr. Butawan-Ali was amazing, she was very easy to talk to and listened to my concerns/preferences. The office itself was easy to find and overall, very clean. Would definitely recommend!”

“The doctor was great, very friendly and answered my questions. However, the front desk staff did not smile, do not greet me, just not much personality walking into that office. It was not a very welcoming office, luckily the waiting area was clean and cozy otherwise it would’ve been uncomfortable.”

About Dr. Dominique Butawan-Ali
Dr. Dominique Butawan-Ali, M.D is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. She has a special interest in high and low risk pregnancies, contraception, and routine gynecologic care. She offers both surgical and non-surgical management of abnormal uterine bleeding and fibroids. She has an interest in minimally invasive surgery with a particular interest in robotics. She is certified to perform single-site DaVinci procedures including hysterectomies.
Dr. Ali was born and raised in St.Louis, MO. She completed her bachelor of science at the University of Memphis, where she graduated with honors majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. After completing her undergraduate studies, she attended medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. She then went on to complete a four-year residency in OB/GYN at the University of Tennessee. While there, she was awarded the Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident Award. Since then, she has been in private practice for about 4 years and has holds medical licenses in North Carolina and Arkansas. She is thrilled to be back in Memphis, where she can be close to her family and friends.
Dr. Ali spends her free time with her husband and son. She enjoys cooking, traveling, cruising and simply watching her baby grow up. She and her husband have participated in cooking competitions including the annual Hot Wing Festival and the Memphis in May BBQ Festival.

Dr. Butawan-Ali is AMAZING!
She takes the time to listen to everything I want to talk about, answers all my questions and explains everything to me, is kind and friendly — everything you want to experience in a doctor visit. I feel heard and understood, and like she truly cares about me and my health concerns. I don’t feel rushed or like she is on a time crunch.

Dr. Ali and her staff are truly amazing. Her nurse even takes time to check on the patients and talk about life prior to the Dr. Ali coming in. They always listen and address any concerns I have. Dr. Ali has never rushed through my appointments and ensures I am very comfortable and educated about any procedures. I highly recommend Dr. Ali! She is the best!
