“Kevin was extremely helpful. He was compassionate and didn't take sides in couples counseling. Sometimes I wish he'd have asked harder/deeper questions, opined more, or offered more specific road maps to accomplishing goals/assignments. This was my first experience in therapy and working with Kevin put me at ease with the process and makes me want to pursue further counseling on my own at some point.”

“Working with Kevin has been an incredibly meaningful experience. He is an exceptional listener who creates a safe, supportive space where I can truly be myself. From the start, I felt understood in ways that made it easier to open up and do the real work.
Kevin has a gift for reframing situations and helping me see new perspectives. Time and again, he’s guided me to shift how I look at challenges, which has given me clarity, confidence, and compassion for myself.
What I value most is his humanity. He leads with compassion and isn’t afraid to show his own vulnerability when it’s helpful. That authenticity makes our work feel collaborative and real.
It was also powerful for me to have, for the first time, a gay therapist. With Kevin, there was a deeper connection and unspoken understanding of shared experiences that made therapy especially impactful. I am truly grateful for his expertise and care.”

Kevin was great - very empathetic and a great listener - but I had to leave due to a scheduling issue.

My husband, Alan Slatas, and I are actually not terminating therapy with Kevin. We're just switching insurance policies since Alan switched jobs and we're migrating our sessions under my Aetna plan.
Kevin is an effective therapist and he tries to acknowledge and point out areas for exploration and improvement in our personal, interpersonal, relational, and marital dynamics.

That was my first time having group therapy and therapy in person. I walked in with zero expectations and left feeling extremely pleased with the outcome. He was great. He did a great job facilitating the conversation within our group and we all felt like we were forming an actual bond with each other.
