Getting to know Mishiko Flores
Mishiko (she/her) enjoys helping others find relief and a sense of freedom so that they may experience true fulfillment and joy in life. She believes we are each unique and extraordinary individuals at our core and that the key to finding relief is learning to fully accept ourselves so that we can reconnect with that extraordinary part of us. She works with clients to explore which approaches and techniques can best help them while building trust and connection, which over time, leads to a path of long-lasting joy that we all deserve.
Mishiko began her professional journey working with offenders at a treatment center and at Rikers Island Holding Facility. She believes every individual has the capacity to learn and grow and become the best version of themselves. She has worked with clients who have experienced many forms of trauma and understands how these past experiences (big and small) can affect our lives and show up as insecurities, anxiety, depression, and in other psychological ways. It can also affect our outlook on others and the world around us.
Mishiko treats anxiety, depression, trauma, autism spectrum disorder, infertility, and cultural/minority issues. She also seeks to work with individuals and couples who are looking for guidance and support with issues involving relationships, such as betrayal, painful break ups, open relationships or divorce. She also works with those struggling with sex issues, such as sexual dysfunction, sex or porn addiction, overcoming shame, kink/BDSM, poly/enm, and more.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
We provide psychotherapy on a weekly basis as part of our treatment model, helping clients make consistent progress over time. If you have any questions about your appointment or scheduling, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Mishiko helped me at a very low point in my life where my self esteem was doubted. I had never seen a therapist before and she gave me a very welcoming and wholesome experience. I’ll miss her so much!!
