Once you log into your account on Zocdoc.com or on the app, you will see opportunities to update your profile settings, everything from basic info like your name, phone number, address, things like that, to current insurance, notification preferences, and more.
If you’d like to change the name on your account, sign into your Zocdoc account, then select Settings > Personal information > Edit.
Note: The name on your account should be your legal first and last name as listed in your insurance or medical records (not a nickname). This allows Zocdoc to create an appointment directly within a practice's calendar and verify your insurance coverage.
If you would like to make any changes to the sex and gender information on your account, read this simple guide.
Can I change the email on my account?
Unfortunately, you cannot make changes to the email on your Zocdoc account. If you need to change or update your email, you should create a new account using your preferred email address.
Please note that the inability to change or update your email address is temporary. You can check back here for future updates. And if you have additional questions, you can contact our service team here.
Can I use the same phone number on multiple Zocdoc accounts?
No, each Zocdoc account must have a unique phone number. If you create a new Zocdoc account and use a phone number that was previously tied to another account, the number will be moved to the new account and removed from the original account.
If you’re using multi-factor authentication to log into Zocdoc and you want to use your phone number with a new account, you must disable multi-factor authentication before adding the number to your new account.
Can I remove family members from my account?
Yes. On your web browser, log into your Zocdoc account and go to Settings > Family members. From there, you can remove the names of people you’ve booked appointments for in the past. You’ll still have access to their appointment history in Past appointments, but after removing them, you won’t see their name as an option when booking new appointments.
Please note that any upcoming appointments for family members need to be canceled before you can remove them from your account.
