How do review transfers provide value?

Transferring reviews ensures that a provider can retain their established online reputation and visibility, built through prior Zocdoc profiles. This allows providers who previously used and subsequently closed their previous profile or moved from one practice to another to carry their patient reviews with them. Patients benefit from this as they get to make informed decisions based on the patient reviews a provider earned over the course of a provider’s tenure on the platform.

What is the procedure for requesting review transfers?

Providers can directly reach out to our Service team here.

Are all reviews eligible for transfer?

Reviews will be moved from the old profile to the new one, based on the following criteria:

  • The old and new profiles are for the same provider

  • It’s a Zocdoc patient review, meaning the review is from a patient who booked on Zocdoc.

  • The review does not mention the previous practice.

  • The provider has sufficient rights to the reviews being transferred, and has not assigned ownership of those reviews to any third party (e.g. a prior employer)

What is the expected timeline for review transfers?

Review transfers typically take four to seven days to process.

Do I have to transfer my reviews?

No, you may decline the review transfer process.

Can I transfer only my positive reviews?

No, you must have all eligible reviews transferred, positive and negative to retain the overall integrity of the reviews.
