Joaquin Gamboa

Chief Legal Officer, Head of New Business & Government Affairs

I’m thrilled to help lead Zocdoc’s efforts to transform healthcare; growing our business in new ways, engaging the government on solutions to some of the most pressing challenges of our time, and tackling the legal complexities of building a great company in this space.

Joaquin Gamboa is the Chief Legal Officer and Head of New Business and Government Affairs at Zocdoc, bringing with him nearly 20 years of domestic and international experience working with technology-focused businesses ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies.

Prior to joining Zocdoc, Joaquin was a Partner at the prestigious Levine, Blaszak, Block & Boothby law firm, where he represented Fortune 100 companies in technology-related deals and served as a strategic advisor to early stage technology companies.

Before LB3, Joaquin served as Director of Business Development at Yodlee, a premier financial technology provider. There, he led the strategic alliances team and headed international business development. Joaquin also co-founded Bay Area Ventures, a fund focused on facilitating Latin American investment in Silicon Valley. Joaquin started his career at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, a top-tier national law firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area noted for its expertise working with early stage technology companies.

Joaquin received an A.B. in Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a J.D. from Stanford Law School.

Having grown up between Mexico City and San Diego, Joaquin now resides in New York City. While not at Zocdoc, he dedicates his time to his wife and three children.
