A Strand of Hope Counseling LLC
At A Strand of Hope Counseling LLC, I, Jessica Elliott, provide virtual therapy for adults and couples throughout Texas with a focus on creating a space that feels collaborative, affirming, and grounded in authenticity. My work is trauma-informed, relational, and centered on understanding the connection between the mind, body, emotions, relationships, and nervous system.
I specialize in working with anxiety, chronic illness, PCOS-related mental health concerns, perfectionism, identity exploration, relationship struggles, burnout, and life transitions. I also work with couples who feel disconnected, stuck in repetitive conflict, or more like roommates than partners and want to rebuild emotional connection and communication.
My therapeutic approach integrates somatic work, attachment-based therapy, parts work, ACT, relational therapy, and nervous system regulation skills. I believe therapy should be individualized rather than one-size-fits-all. Some clients benefit from practical coping strategies and psychoeducation, while others benefit from deeper emotional processing, relational work, mindfulness, or body-based approaches. I tailor therapy to each client’s goals, comfort level, and pace.
One of my core philosophies is that meaningful change happens when people feel emotionally safe enough to be honest, curious, and compassionate with themselves. I focus on helping clients move out of survival mode, better understand their patterns, strengthen self-trust, and create healthier relationships with themselves and others.
My practice is LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, kink, polyamory, and Health at Every Size affirming.
