I remember feeling nervous to start therapy because it was my first time, but I felt comfortable with Dr. Bemis because she was so friendly and transparent about what I can expect. Dr. Bemis is patient, thoughtful and offers valuable resources during our appointments. After trialing another therapist, I was looking for a provider who could extend beyond simply listening to my problems and could offer scientific explanations as to why I’m feeling or perceiving certain thoughts and emotions. Instead of just telling me to stop or start doing something, Dr. Bemis offers techniques and resources to facilitate desired behaviors in a way that is both directly applicable and engaging. Dr. Bemis is wonderful and I look forward to continue working with her.
