I love my therapist already, she made me feel seen and safe. Very hopeful and optimistic for my new therapy journey

I was met with such kindness and listened to with great compassion. Exactly what I needed in moments like this.

Nadirah was late to all my sessions. One session (personal reasons) needed to be cut in half which I was fine with paying in full for because I really needed it (and expressed that to her). Over text message after the session, she wanted to send voice memos asking how I was throughout the week, something I thought at the time was helpful but can be risky. I have anxiety and tend to overthink, so after sending her my loaded voice memos, I realzied how unsecure the exchange was and how I don’t like being left on read (she had read reciepts on). After this realization, I sent a boundary setting text saying I’d prefer our secure calls in session and not the voice memos. A day passes and she does react/respond to any of my messages. And as two days go by I ask her to text me if she recieved my messages. For the previous messages, it said they delieved, but after the boudary setting text, my texts appeared like she blocked me which is extremely unprofessional. No email follow-up either.

Going back for more. Grateful for a great first time experience. Felt safe and comfortable sharing with their open-ended questions. I shared without feeling judged.

I’m really excited and happy that I found a great therapist. I’m ready for the long journey to recovery with the first encounter I feel really confident she will do just that “Help me heal” very well spoken and educated.
