As she gets to know me more and more, my visits have become extremely beneficial to my personal growth and relationships.

I just didn't get anything out of this. She listens, but we had a lot of silences with no help with deeper questions.
The reception area in her Brooklyn office is awkward, but she ran behind schedule, but was quite nice and welcoming!

Ms. Stone was warm and welcoming . She actively listened to my concerns, helped me prioritise my issues, then offered guidance to initiate a plan of how to address them as we continue to work together. I struggled to express myself a few times, explaining a prior TBI occasionally effected my ability to articulate and decode complex concepts. To my relief she understood the difference between intelligence and lingering effects of a brain injury. It was a very productive, and comfortable visit. Although she was generally kind, I didn't feel like she was totally there or trying very hard to understand. Also, when starting to talk about a difficult topic, I apologized that I was probably going to cry. Instead of saying that it was okay or that I didn't have to open up if I wasn't ready, she just said "there are tissues behind you" very blandly. I was going through a really difficult time and kept getting choked up and I wished she wouldn't have just been silent in response. She kept focusing on facts rather than my feelings and made me feel kind of exposed. She was a nice lady and may have just had an off day, but I wasn't terribly impressed and won't be seeing her again.
I'm new to therapy in general and was a bit nervous about it. Christina eased my tensions and gave me easy ways to open up a bit. She is a great listener, sweat and is very professional.

I came to Christina after I found out that my Mom wouldn't be able to beat her cancer (my Mom was only 56, I was 26, and it was totally out of the blue). I started having panic attacks daily and didn't know what to do. I worked with Christina for almost a year and she was a vital part of my support system. She provided a warm, freeing space for me to say all of the things I couldn't say elsewhere and her guidance and perspective were always invaluable. I left every session feeling like I had just plugged into a power source and had a clear mind and a new way to cope. She's a big part of what got me through that rough period. Thanks, Christina, for your loving, supportive presence in my life!
