Hi, I’m Dr. Elizabeth Buchanan, a Doctor of Nursing Practice and board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. At Don’t Mind Me Psychiatry, I provide thoughtful, evidence-based mental health care to children (6+), teens, and adults across New York State via telehealth.
I specialize in ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, with a strong emphasis on personalized medication management. My approach is conservative, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that “a pill is not a skill”—medication can help, but it’s just one piece of the puzzle.
I offer thorough psychiatric evaluations, ADHD and executive functioning testing using Pearson tools (like Conners 4, Brown EF, and BASC-3), and medication support tailored to each patient’s history, goals, and lived experience. I prioritize listening closely, understanding family patterns, and avoiding treatments that haven’t worked in the past.

I booked an appt & it was confirmed & I never heard from the provider or received any info on how to join. Called the office # listed & left 4 messages with no response. Had to go back on zocdoc & book another appt with another provider later today while my 17yo son sat & waited since 6AM thinking he was going to lose control & his life was over. The providers message also stated she does private practice & when looking on there all the appt times conflict with this service & that is greedy in the line of work that she does.
