Hello there! My name is Jane Francis Ndenka and I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I am not sure what brings you here today, but I'm ready to listen to you and see if together we can find a solution to your problems. I am very passionate about access to mental health and being a patient advocate because I grew up in a culture where talking about mental health issues is still frowned upon.
Being an advocate means helping you feel heard and taking your preferences and concerns into account when developing your treatment plan. Let's connect and work together!
I employ evidence based practice to prescribe medications for a broad spectrum of mental health issues. I am especially passionate treating bipolar and other mood disorders. I also specialize in treating, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, pre and post natal mood issues, PTSD, OCD, ADHD and sleep issues.

She was amazing! My first time seeing a psychiatrist so didn't really know what to expect. I thought it would be a quick consultation and would just be prescribed meds but it was way more than that! Dr. Ndenka spent a whole hour with me talking about my life and making sure I was happy with the approach she was taking. She also encouraged me to reach out at any time to answer any questions or anything that comes up. Would 10000% recommend going with her. Thank you!

As a queer woman of color, it is easy to feel dismissed by mental health medical providers. My experience with NP Ndenka was the exact opposite. She was well-versed in the unique struggles marginalized people face. I felt heard, understood, and cared for completely. I feel more comfortable now embarking on my mental health journey with someone as caring and relatable as NP Ndenka.
