Older office space. Long wait time. Intrusive papshmere (No warming before sticking tool inside). Redundant questioning.
Ased a lot of questions about health history and was very friendly. Definitely a person who loves what she does.

Dr. Mapp and her staff were wonderful! The check in process was easy, Dr. Mapp went over the issues that were concerning me with care, and just an overall good experience :)

As a new patient I wasn’t impressed with how she handled my appointments with her. I’ve never experienced a provider that doesn’t try to get to know their new patients and talks a little condescending towards them if they do something wrong. I think there was an error, but she didn’t make it easy to ask questions about it. I’m pretty emotionally balanced, but I’m nervous to talk to her. I just feel like I’m just another task she has to do for the day. I’ll be looking for another provider.

I was s first time patient at this practice. I want to start by saying that Dr. Mapp was 1 hour and 45 mins late for my appointment and did not seem phased about it. She saw other patients and she even conducted a zoom call during my appointment time and beyond (which I could hear every bit of due to paper-thin walls in the office) then I wasn’t even given an introduction or warm greeting to make up for time lost out exercise some humility, but instead the first thing I encountered was a question about why I came to her and not a dentist when my issue was not tooth-related. Once she found out I worked as a provider in healthcare, it seemed like she was a little warmer in her approach. In the office that evening there was clearly no emergency yet I was made to wait for a ridiculous amount of time (nearly 2 hours) and told by Dr. Mapp that she was sorry about the wait but she was “swamped.” Mind you, NO ONE was on the office aside from one other patient. They didn’t even call me back into a room until nearly 8pm. Dr. Mapp and her staff were unapologetic about this entire visit and it appeared that she was bothered that I was there. I actually got up, left the room, and told the staff that I was going to leave; I was told nonchalantly by the staff-“oh, she’s almost done, she’s in a Telehealth visit with another patient telling them COVID results” I alerted them that my appointment was an hour and a half prior. No response. The so-called apology I received once Dr. Mapp finally decided to enter the room was not genuine at all and focused on her own personal struggles as a provider and not my concerns as a patient and I swear I saw her roll her eyes at me when she entered the exam room as if she had the nerve to be upset about my demeanor. How about some humility!? There was no consideration given to my time yet I assure you that if I showed up 2 hours late I would have been turned away immediately and without hesitation. To make matters worse, after waiting all that time, I was given a referral for a specialist that doesn’t even specialize in what I need. I felt completely blown off and not valued as a patient or customer. Rest assured there will be no delay in billing from the office. There was very little effort in my treatment and no resolution. At the least she could’ve listened to my heart, checked my lungs. Instead I got nothing . She didn’t even put a hand on me yet, I will be billed for a complete visit, rest assured. I felt insignificant and dismissed as a first time patient and I wasted my entire evening to get absolutely nothing from this visit. By the way, my appointment time was 6:30 pm and I was seen at 8:20 pm. I got home at 9!!!!! 9 pm!!! Insane. You don’t conduct business in this manner as a professional. Period. I was advised by Dr. Mapp to return in 10 days for a follow up. I will not be doing that. I won’t be returning ever. I’ll take my chances on my own and am currently in search of a new PCP. I feel bad for putting someone’s reputation out there as a provider however it needs to be said. I’m not sorry.
