My goal as a therapist is to use approaches that are evidence based and and solidly grounded in the context of an empathetic, warm and supportive relationship. To that end, I base my work on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) integrated with mindfulness, EMDR, assertiveness training and other methods. Homework assignments are given regularly. I try to make sessions enjoyable when possible and bearable when not. I generally look for the good in people as well as help them understand when they are the architects of their own unhappiness.
