Bad news....instead of treating my ingrown toenail...was more interested in future visits....made it worse

Dr Chernick is calm, informative and skilled. He has conversation while working. He explains every step of what he’s doing and the science behind it.

Professional, efficient, good care and took care of my ingrown toenails without any pain or problems. Very caring manner as always. I have seen Dr. Chernick previously.
My family have been patients of Dr. Chernick’s for over 30 years. He is so friendly, gentle and professional when caring for your feet. The office is so clean and the staff is also warm and friendly

He seemed to be nice but it didn't seem to be so genuine and I can say the same for the staff as well. I'm kinda wishy washy about these people. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate the time he's taken to treat me but at the same time I would like to have a specialist who doesn't seem to be nice but seems to be otherwise when one of us leaves the room.

Dr. Chernick is exceptional. He is very informative and thorough when answering any questions that you ask. His staff was friendly and efficient. I felt completely comfortable and I would certainly pay Dr. Chernick a visit again. Let me not forget to mention the waiting time was no longer than 15 minutes!!!

The doctor was nice enough, if overly pragmatic. Spent all of two minutes with me in the exam room, and went back and forth between me and another patient (talking about said patient in the hall, or in the exam room with the door open, in a loud, booming voice). Rampant HIPAA violations and some lack of bedside manner aside, what really bothered me was that the staff, all of whom had ample time between my booking the appointment on ZocDoc, my showing up, handing them BOTH of my insurance cards and taking me in, failed to inform me that while they accepted not one, but BOTH of my policies, I was in fact still responsible for my outrageously high copay because Medicaid does not cover podiatry unless there is a diagnosis of diabetes. I had NO knowledge of this, and would not have gone to this appointment, or have allowed them to TAKE ME IN, had I known I would be held financially responsible. I am currently unemployed and sticking to Medicaid providers because Medicaid will USUALLY cover the copay from my primary. Not here. I wasn't told of this until after the fact. I got my prescription and I hope it works out, but it's safe to say I probably won't be coming back here again because the lack of communication carries too high a price (literally).
