Therapy Era
At Therapy Era, we are dedicated to challenging the impacts of structural inequalities such as racism, sexism, classism, anti-trans discrimination, oppression, stigma, and ableism. Our practice is committed to fostering compassion, inclusivity, and diversity by creating supportive, growth-orientated spaces with room for honest discussion. We believe in continually expanding our understanding of the impact of intersectionality to recognize and address our own biases.
We imagine a world where mental health is de-stigmatized. We work toward this by empowering individuals, couples, and biological, and chosen family systems. We believe therapy can foster exploration, assist with gaining awareness, cultivate authentic lives, and nurture our communities. Healing happens in the community, and community is an active commitment.

Ryan was late and was multitasking during my appointment. The technology platform they use is also clunky and it took us 10-15mins to get it working.

The session was very seamless and comfortable. I felt safe and heard throughout my session. I am very pleased with Ryan’s patience and thoughtfulness.

My wife and I had a great experience in couples counseling with Ryan. From the start, he helped us create some healthy boundaries around how we communicate and treat each other in sessions, which gradually carried over outside of sessions too. I personally appreciated that he made sure we each had time to speak our piece, and gave us some tools to listen better and calm down when
things started to get heated. Ryan helped us recognize our typical negative patterns and how we both contribute to the problem, and we ve gotten better at catching ourselves when we start to go down the wrong path again. We d recommend Ryan for any couples that are struggling or just want to learn to communicate better with each other.

I've had a few therapists over the years, but they mostly just sat and listened and asked about my feelings. Ryan did some of that, but I liked that he also brought in different ideas and strategies, like mindfulness exercises, routines, apps, even content creators to follow. It was cool seeing things start to change in my life, especially when Ryan set aside time for us to look back and celebrate wins and growth I had along the way. That s something I took with me and do for myself to this day. So, if you're looking for a therapist who doesn't just sit, nod, and listen, and you want something different, Ryan could be a good fit for you, too!

Ryan was my first therapist, and I'm so glad I found him when I did. I had no idea what to expect, but he was patient, supportive, and informative every step of the way. Though our time together was brief, I was able to get to a much better place and see how therapy can be helpful for me. If you're like me and giving therapy a shot for the first time, Ryan is a great choice!

I'm a pretty quiet, private person, so I was nervous about starting therapy. Ryan was patient with me and made it a relatively painless experience. I ended up sharing way more than I expected and worked through some major trauma I had hidden away for years. We did some EMDR, which felt weird at first, but actually helped a lot. I'm really grateful that he didn't push me too much and let me go at my own pace. Ryan is a caring, supportive therapist and I wouldn t hesitate to reach out to him if need more therapy in the future.

I can’t recommend Ryan enough! He specializes in EMDR therapy and really helped me heal from past traumas. Ryan is incredibly kind and made me feel safe throughout the process. Thanks to his expertise and support, I’ve seen real improvements in my mental health. If you’re looking for a caring therapist who knows their stuff, Ryan is a fantastic choice!

I am grateful to have had Ryan as my therapist during a challenging period in my life. I needed a therapist who made me feel safe and understood. Ryan was amazing at creating a supportive space where I could talk openly. His guidance and empathy have been a huge help in working through my issues. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares and knows how to listen, Ryan is fantastic.

I have been seeing Augusta for a few years and she has helped me work through some difficult situations in my life, she listens and provides feedback in a thoughtful and compassionate manner. I would highly recommend her and th Greenpoint therapy practice.
JHVerified patient
Excellent. Augusta can circle back to root issues in a surprising way and connects the dots. Points to recurring themes and patterns and helps identify and notice them in the sessions but also how to carry that into daily life. I have gained significant awareness and progress in my personal and professional life.

As a newcomer to therapy I felt a safe and secure introduction with Augusta. She immediately felt trustworthy, knowledgeable and capable. She has follow up through with a planned program and fulfilling sessions.

Augusta was warm and welcoming. She answered any questions I had about her practice. She is knowledgeable about my issues (addiction, codependency and trauma) and helped me look at those with new frameworks. Highly recommend!
