Meet Patient Choice
The Patient Choice program celebrates providers who are highly rated, reliable, and recommended by other patients. Qualifying providers receive a badge on their Zocdoc profile and in search results, helping patients identify providers who consistently deliver exceptional experiences. Providers with the badge see 8% more bookings on average.
To earn the badge each quarter, providers must meet criteria that reflect what patients value: high ratings, low cancellation rates, and a great overall experience. The new Patient Choice dashboard displays qualification metrics for all providers in your practice, so you can see who has the badge—and where targeted improvements can make a big difference.

Becoming a Patient Choice provider signals a standout experience to patients. These new tools not only make it easier to qualify, they also help you achieve better results on Zocdoc by streamlining workflows, reducing cancellations, and delivering clearer performance insights.
Smarter booking settings
We recently launched a feature that ensures only patients who meet your age preferences can book with your providers. There’s more to come, including the ability to set your own lead times, so staff have enough time to prepare for appointments. These tools lead to smoother operations and reduce no-shows and cancellations.
Improved insurance tools
Upcoming insurance setting improvements will make it easier to manage insurances across your entire practice in one place. On the patient side, we’re making it simpler to book with the correct plan by searching for plan information with the patient’s name and date of birth. We’re also auto-filling insurance member IDs when possible. Today, 74% of bookings come with member ID.
A more intuitive calendar
Our redesigned calendar has a more intuitive design that helps practices stay organized. Toggle between appointments and open availability, filter by provider or location, and access key booking details like insurance and intake info, all in one place.

Clearer performance insights
Your updated dashboard has new charts that show trends over time, and historical data that puts your performance in context. Track bookings and spend from all booking sources, as well as Sponsored Results—all in one view. Soon, you’ll be able to see aggregated performance reporting for your entire organization.
Customized access
Grant tailored access to team members across your organization with customizable permissions. Whether managing a single office or multiple locations, you can ensure each staff member sees exactly what they need.
