Becoming a Patient Choice provider helps you stand out, build trust, and get more bookings. Here’s how the badge works for you:
The Patient Choice badge highlights providers who deliver exceptional patient experiences. Earning the badge increases bookings 8% on average.
Earn high ratings: Patients value high ratings when searching for care. Providers must have a 4.6 average rating or higher.
Honor appointments: Patients expect appointments to take place, so providers must keep their cancellation rate below 30%.
Use a Calendar Integration: Patients want to book real appointments. Connecting your calendar with Zocdoc ensures you show accurate availability.

The Patient Choice program celebrates providers who deliver exceptional patient experiences based on ratings and reliability.
To qualify each quarter, providers need an average 4.6 rating or higher from patients who booked through Zocdoc, a total cancellation rate below 30%, and they must be using a read and write Calendar Integration. Additionally, providers must get 5 bookings per quarter, and have 5 total reviews from patients who booked through Zocdoc. Providers who work at a practice that has recently been in remediation with Zocdoc’s Trust and Safety team cannot qualify for the program.
Qualification is calculated for each individual provider every quarter, based on the prior quarter’s performance metrics.
Qualifying providers will see the Patient Choice badge on their provider profiles and in search results.
