Dr. Lao was exactly what I needed today! I haven't gotten dental work done in years, and I was pretty scared -- she made me feel so comfortable, heard, and validated for my concerns! She was careful and tender with my exam, and she and the hygienist were so pleasant to be around. She was extremely reassuring and made me feel safe about the treatment plan, which indicated a little more work than I'd hoped so it was really nice to feel confident. I felt comfortable, and that's so important at a dentist--one of the scariest places! So grateful!

Dr. Anh Lao is a northwest native who completed both her undergraduate studies and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Washington. Following her graduation in 2000, she enjoyed working in the Northgate area for over 10 years and now practices on Capitol Hill/First Hill. Among the greatest rewards she receives from practicing dentistry are the personal connections she makes with her patients, whom she has the pleasure of taking care of. She is married with one child. Her interests include playing soccer, working out, making jewelry, and spending time with her family and friends.

I visited the clinic for a last-minute dental appointment for toothache. Both the doctor and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. They were friendly, efficient, and made sure I felt comfortable during my visit.

Tucked behind some beautiful greenery in Capitol Hill, the clinic is in a great area that felt safe with adequate parking, front desk staff was friendly and attentive, and hygienist, Lee, was super pleasant, an excellent conversationalist, and extremely efficient. Best dental visit ever! I will definitely be returning.

They were very friendly and welcoming. I was able to make an appointment on short notice and be seen early in the morning. They are very efficient and don’t make you wait a long time like other places you may find. Would definitely recommend!

Dr. Anh Lao is great. Although I found one of her young hygienist to not have the best bedside manor. She did not listen very well and was a bit ruff I found. She was nice but I find the younger generation need to work on these issues and not rush a client. Take the time listen have good bedside manners. By the way I am not a old person I am in my late 30’s to early 40’s.
Maybe it was a bad day but still first impressions a lasting. All together tho the staff was wonderful.

I’m in town for work. Making an appointment was simple and easy. Melinda and the crew did a wonderful job with the insurance, and Dr. Lao was fast, kind and friendly.

I went in with a severe toothache, and Dr. Lao accurately diagnosed the issue. They were unable to treat me there since it was re-treatment on a previous root canal, which required an appointment with an Endodontist. Dr. Lao was able to provide me a referral to an in-network Endodontist, and the receptionist at the front desk called them and got me scheduled for an appointment that same day. This was an overall great experience and I will continue to see Dr. Lao.

Pretty good visit as a first time visitor. Dr. Anh was gentle and let me know what was going on at all times during my procedure , was patient with me while explaining prices and was overall a nice caring person. I went in 12:30 and didn’t leave until 2 which is an ok time frame for the procedure I was getting done. At reception, getting cleared to use my insurance could’ve gone smoother. Everyone in the office was very warm and smiley. Will be back in the future.

Dr. Lao is friendly and professional. She has around 20 years of experience and I felt like I was in good hands. She took out my wisdom teeth and fixed my first cavity, and I felt at ease the whole time. I'll definitely be going back to her!

I was not looking forward to getting a filling done, but Dr. Lao put me at ease. She made sure that I was as comfortable as possible. She told me I could let her know if I needed anything. She was very friendly, kind and considerate. She also explained what she was doing so I knew what was going on.
