What is an Endocrinologist?
An Endocrinologist is a doctor that works with diseases that affect glands that produce hormones. They treat illnesses ranging from diabetes, thyroid and metabolic disorders, osteoperosis, hypertension and more. Pediatric Endocrinologists see children mostly for growth-related issues, including development and weight. They also perform preventive treatment, such as monitoring blood sugar so that it stays within healthy limits.
