Liz Schuringa, ARNP joins Dermatology Arts with 8 years of experience as a nurse practitioner and as of 2018 is one of very few Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioners (DCNP). She works closely with Dr. Master and Dr. Carlos to provide the highest quality dermatology care for her patients at Dermatology Arts.
Liz attended the nursing program at Calvin College in Michigan for her undergraduate studies and later completed her Master’s in Nursing at the Mississippi University for Women in 2009. Liz has lived in many different places across the United States (including California, Michigan, Arkansas, and New Jersey) and is pleased to have settled with her husband and two sons in the Pacific Northwest close to her family.
In her free time, Liz enjoys scouting out new playgrounds and building bug houses with her sons (ages 5 and 6 years old). Liz is also passionate about high quality television shows as well as cooking, eating and growing delicious food!
New patients should arrive 15-20 minutes prior to their first visit to complete in-office paperwork requirements (and to allow team to enter data provided). Patients arriving at their appointment time may be asked to wait until those on time can be first helped. Our practice has a no-show / late cancellation fee.

I have to admit that I really wanted to see the dr. instead of the NP, but I was pleasantly surprised and was happy I made the appointment. She seemed confident in her diagnosis and made me feel at ease to call in 4 days or so if the antibiotic did not seem to be working.
I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

Elizabeth (she introduced herself as Liz) was warm and attentive. Our appointment was short since the issue was very straightforward, but i never felt rushed and felt that she listened to my questions and asked good follow-up questions. She explained my options well and made sure I understood them. This was my first time seeing Liz but felt like I was treated like the only patient she had. Highly recommend!
The experience really stood out as I had a different doc appt earlier in the day and felt rushed as if they had 20 of those to get through that day and they were trying to get me out of there in the quickest way possible.

Nurse practitioner Schuringa was very professional, a great listener, seemed to care about my condition, and performed the needed procedure with expertise. I had no sense of her being rushed, as often happens when staff is tightly scheduled. The post-procedure instructions were clearly described, and she made sure all my questions were answered.
Surgical procedures can be scary, but she had a calm and confident demeanor, and put me at ease.
