“I was seen by Dr Lipman who works with Dr Hansen, as well as by a dental hygienist who gave me a cleaning and X-rays. The hygeinist was very thorough, kind, and always wanted me to be comfortable. Dr. Lipman was also thorough, asked about any concerns that I had, and was very down-to-earth while still being professional. I usually hate going to the dentist but I felt very calm and relaxed here. Also, compared to previous dentists I've seen, this place has a less harsh, "we know what's best for you and your teeth need work" kind of tone. They care about making their patients comfortable and won't order unnecessary procedures simply for billing purposes. ”

About Dr. Kevin Hansen
Dr. Hansen and his associate Dr. Lipman provide dental care for both children and adults in Park Slope and the surrounding Brooklyn neighborhoods. Dr. Hansen earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York, Buffalo, and completed a Residency in General Practice at Long Island College Hospital. In our office, you'll have the opportunity to see instantaneous images of your teeth with digital x-rays and an intraoral camera. We also provide orthodontic care using the Invisalign system.

This is a good dentist: Professional, informative, thorough. I had a very thorough cleaning followed by exam. The doctor explains fully what he is seeing, with clear explanations. The office is nicely arranged, and the staff friendly, efficient. I will be back in six months.

Everyone in the office was extremely kind and professional. The dental hygienist was gentle and thorough. Glad to have found an office where no one is trying to get over on you, but rather provide quality dental care.

Just a great little practice in a great part of Brooklyn. Doctor Hansen has the ability to carry on a conversation with you over a period of six month increments. It's truly amazing, and show show much he invests in each of his patients. Highly recommend.

I was very nervous about a dentist appointment because I hadn't seen a dentist in 5 years. This office put me totally at ease- I honestly can't imagine a visit going better than it did. I am actually excited about my next appointment, which is not a thing I thought I would ever say.

He gave me some novocaine and the needle did hurt a little bit going in--not a big deal--and he said 'I'm sorry this is not the most fun part of your day.'

I have had horrible experiences with dentists in the past, so that has always contributed to my fear of the dentist. But, I've been going to Dr. Hansen for the past year or so, and I think I may no longer be afraid of the dentist! I never felt like just a patient ID number in his office - from the very friendly staff at the front desk, to his assistant, to Dr. Hansen himself. He truly seemed to care about my health and comfort. He always checked his work very thoroughly and made sure I was doing okay and not in any more discomfort that could be avoided. I was seeing him for a root canal and barely ever felt pain. They are also willing to work with you with payment plans. I've already recommended him to my friends in the city.

The staff there is incredibly nice and helpful. They were warm, friendly and very professional. The teeth cleaning went very well and was virtually painless! If you want a great dentist, come see this office!

My mom is a dental surgeon (the VERY best!), so the bar is high when it comes to picking my dentist. My wife and I have been going to Dr. Hansen for over a year now and, although he's no mom, he is EXCELLENT. His office is professional (great staff!), he takes his time with his patients (explains everything so you are at ease), and is pleasant to be around. I highly recommend him.
