Hello, I am Dr. Marielena Diakogiannis, a periodontist with advanced training in dental implants. Our office specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of gum disease as well as the placement of dental implants. At Whitestone Periodontics & Dental Implants advanced periodontal care is combined with a patient-first philosophy. Whether you’re dealing with gum issues, TMJ disorders, considering implants, or simply want to protect your smile, our team is here to help you feel confident and cared for every step of the way.
My dental journey began at Fairleigh Dickinson University, after which I continued my education at New York University. Upon graduation, I completed my general practice and periodontal residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center of Manhattan. I then completed a two-year international program for the placement and restoration of dental implants. My training was under Dr. Dennis Tarnow, the renowned former director of the NYU Dental Implant program. After extensive periodontal and implant training, I now practice full-time in my own office in Whitestone, Queens, where I am committed to delivering exceptional care to every patient.
