Verified Patient Reviews
Dr Sims and his team are an excellent example of what a Dentist experience should be like. My search is finally over, I know have a great dentist
It was excellent! He was very thorough and helpful....definitely recommend him.
The staff was great, very courteous! Dr. Sims was exceptionaly kind and professional. I was a self-pay patient so the prices were reasonable. Would definitely recommend.
Best dentist I've ever seen.highly recommend.
Definitely would like to keep him as my dentist
Avoid at all costs. Dr. Sims is absolutely unprofessional: he doesn't take the time to check up on patients - he leaves all the work to the dental assistants. Turnover is very high, so you're rarely seeing the same person twice. I had a billing issue that was settled with the previous administration, but on the last visit I was told that I had a balance. Dr. Sims refused to talk to me about it. The office environment is so unprofessional it is laughable.
Ended up having to get my work redone by my dentist at home. Definitely would not recommend.
he was very very nice and friendly. I didn't have any work done, but I have extreme anxiety with dentists and he and his staff were very understanding and tried their best to relax me and put my on a plan to get healthy again.
Dr. Sims was easy to talk to and made me feel less shy about letting him see the bad condition my teeth are in, he was understanding and uplifting. He did not put me down for failing to come to the dentist earlier and put together a comprehensive plan to help me to get my smile back. Great experience.
Dr SIms isn't always there but he is lovely as are the staff
Very good dentist who cares and has good bedside manners.
Such an amazing dentist. His office was run very well and professionally. I highly recommend him to other patients.
Dr. Sims took the time to explain what was going on with my filling before recommending how to proceed and made sure I was comfortable throughout the appointment.
Dr. Sims is a great dentist. I was very comfortable with him. He is very knowledgeable, the staff are wonderful and engaging.
Dr. Sims and his staff are very pleasant, welcoming, and thorough. I appreciated his more holistic approach to dental care.
This was the first time I ever felt like I was hustled by a medical practitioner. I made an appointment with Dr. Sims in December because of a toothache. Although I was at the office for two hours, I never actually got to see the dentist. The hygienists took x-rays, sold me a toothbrush and over-priced mouthwash, and put some liquid treatment on my teeth that wasn't covered by my insurance (and they didn't ask me if I wanted it). I was told the dentist didn't have time to see me and I would have to make a follow-up appointment. I specifically asked that enough time be blocked off in my follow-up appointment to see the dentist AND have a cavity filled (as I knew I had a cavity where I was experiencing pain). When I went back for my follow-up appointment, the hygienists gave me some more treatments that weren't covered by my insurance and then I got to see the dentist. There was NO time blocked off to fill my cavity. But that doesn't matter because the dentist had no intention of filling my cavity, or even going over my x-rays or letting me know if I had any additional cavities. He only talked to me about some other procedure he wanted me to agree to because of my bite. All in all, I have been to this dentist twice, spent more than four hours in his office, been charged well over $1000 between my costs and those of my insurance, and I STILL have my toothache and need a cavity filled. I'll have to deal with it for six months while I wait for my next appointment covered by insurance. Hopefully the next dentist I try to see will do something other than try to sell me toothbrushes, mouthwashes, and non-essential treatments.
I liked Dr. Sims personally, but his staff recommended a Vizilite oral cancer screening that was expensive and I later learned had been denied the ADA seal of approval because it was not demonstrated to have a value. I expect better from my medical professionals.
The entire office was very nice and helpful! Dr Sims was very clear in explaining what was needed to get my tooth emergency under control.
Dr. Sims is a professional and He takes pride in what he does. He treats his patients with respect and shows a genuine concern.
From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with amazing hospitality. The receptionist was the sweetest lady ever and before I even saw the dentist, I was ready to write my review. The dentist was very attentive, made getting my wisdoms out stress free. I'm glad to have found a new dentist! Well done
Great doctor and office staff.
Excellent doctor. He really takes his time to give you the best recommendation and solution.

Great dentist. All of my experiences with Dr. Sims and his staff have been professional and pleasant. What awonderful group.
Dr. Sims is the best denrist I have ever had. I highly recommend Dr. Sims. He is definately gifted and talented, not your typical dentist. Dr. Sims is very thorough with his work and takes his time.
I had a great experience with Dr. Sims and will absolutely have all of my dental work done there going forward. Very friendly staff, and everyone was super nice. I felt completely at ease and I'm not a person who likes the dentist. Took care of what I needed to have done and put me on a plan going forward. Thanks!
I found Dr. Sims on the ZoDoc website, today was my first appointment with him and it was excellent. He really talked to me about what was going on with my teeth and the pain that I was having. He worked on my teeth and came up with a conservative approach with no pain. I will recomend Dr. Sims to everyone.
First visit went very well. Got x-rays and a cleaning. scheduld to return for follow-up servicers.
Dr. Simms is patient and listened to all of my concerns. The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth did so without pain and even made helpful suggestions. I would recommend Dr. Simms.
Dr. Simms and his made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Simms also is very informative about visit and procedures....I know its been awhile. Thanks guys.
Certainly as a first timer here, it has been my best dental experience in DC. Everyone was great in the office. I cant wait to go back..... Well maybe thats pushing things a bit..
Dr. Sims is a really nice and attentive dentist. I had a wisdom tooth removed and some fillings completed. I get really nervous and anxious at the doctor's office and they made me feel at ease. My only complaint is that the office is very small, so you can actually hear what's going on with the other patients. My boyfriend couldn't come in the room because it's small as well. But the nurse, or other dentist, held my hand and was really sweet. I'm going back in a few weeks for another pulling and won't be as nervous since I know I'm in good hands!
I WAS INITIALLY GREETED WITH A SMILE AND MADE TO FEEL COMFORTABLE BEFORE I WAS HANDED THE OBLIGATORY PAPERWORK TO FILL OUT. THE LEVEL OF PROFESSIONALISM WAS APPARENT AND SEAMLESS. WHEN THERE WERE INSURANCE ISSUES THE STAFF WORKED WITH ME TO SORT IT OUT SO THAT I COULD BE SERVICED QUICKLY. I'VE BEEN TO MORE THAN A FEW DENTIST'S BUT I GOT THE FEELING THAT THE CLEANING WORK DONE BY THE DENTAL HYGENIST WAS EXEMPLARY. SHE PAID ATTENTION TO EVERY DETAIL AND TOOK HER TIME. THAT WAS IMPORTANT TO ME! I LEFT DR. MILLS' OFFICE SATISFIED AND WOULD REFER FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES THERE.
I had a great experience with Dr. Sims. He and his staff are very friendly and professional. Dr. Sims is a perfectionist, which I consider a big plus in a dentist. His staff was extremely helpful and responsive in navigating some dental insurance issues. I would definetly reccommend Dr. Sims to anyone looking for a dentist in the DC area.
I was never so delighted to be welcomed by such a team of professionals. I was taken right in with a a warm reception. Dr Sims is a consummate professional with chairside manner that is impeccable. I was comfortable from start to finish. Much to my surprise, Dr Sims has planned my facial make over. I am so excited to know that Botox, and Juvederm are available as injectables in his office. I returned days later to have my injections and the results are incredible. I would recommend him to anyone!!!!
