About Dr. Nazanin Hakim

I like to partner up with my patients to help them achieve their oral health goals and understand the value of a healthy beautiful mouth. I want to learn about their lives, challenges, and stories, so I can better serve them. Every day, I come to the office, excited to see my team and my patients and meet new people. I feel great satisfaction in helping people live healthier, happier lives Education and Continued Education Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of California School of Dentistry, 2004 Doctorate of Medical Dentistry – Shahid Beheshti University Dental School, Tehran, Iran, 2001 Since graduating from dental school, first in Iran 22 years ago and then in the US, I’ve kept myself up to date with new technology, materials, and methods emerging in the dental field. I enjoy learning how we can be more conservative by providing treatment that is more comfortable, long lasting, and sustainable. Expanding my knowledge in the field gives me great satisfaction and makes me excited to be the best dentist I can be. Outside The Office I grew up in Iran and moved to the US after college. I lived in Philadelphia for a short while before moving to San Francisco in 2002 with my husband. When I’m not in the office, I love cooking and small gatherings with friends and family. I am passionate about traveling the world, hiking, wandering through museums, practicing Yoga, and visiting farmers markets on the weekends. When I have a quiet moment, I enjoy settling in with a good book. The San Francisco area is a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family. As an active member of my community, I sponsor Child Foundation and volunteer at the San Francisco Food Bank.
