The doctor was very knowledgeable and professional. I always get nervous and anxious when it comes to dental work but he was very gentle and explained everything as he worked on my teeth. I would have to say this is the first time I felt no pain and comfortable during the work. Staff were great. Friendly and caring. I love the doctor and the staff.

Originally from McLean, VA, Dr. Soltani has been improving oral health and creating gorgeous results for patients for twenty years now. He attended the University of Maryland, College Park, and Boston University, where he attended the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, District of Columbia Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. His favorite thing about his job is getting to see the patient’s new and improved smile after his work is done!
Dr. Soltani is passionate about all areas of dentistry and has been dedicated to maintaining and improving the dental health of his patients in Northern VA and Washington, DC. He is the proud founder of both Ballston Metro Dental and My Face My Smile in Arlington, VA and Dental NV, in Sterling, Virginia.
His most recent practice in the district brings a new concept to the Sterling area; Dental NV offers dental care and med spa services all under one roof. With this brand new concept Dr. Soltani is striving to provide his patients with the ultimate treatments to maintain great oral and skin health.
He is a loving father of two young boys and enjoys spending every moment with them. He also enjoys reading, traveling, swimming and playing soccer in his free time.

I scheduled an appointment for Friday at 3pm with this office through zocdoc, I received text and email confirmations, so I’m sure my appointment went through. However, when I reached the office, the lights were off and the sign said “closed” despite the hours being printed on their door (8-5p). I called twice and left a voicemail, still waiting on a response. I’m not sure what happened, but I’d definitely appreciate an explanation from the staff. I was excited to find a new dentist, but this is unbelievable.

My experience with Dr. Shahrokh Soltani was absolutely fantastic. He is a kind, intelligent, and caring dentist who made me feel safe and in good care the entire time. I needed a cleaning, two cavity fillings, and a fitting for a night guard. He was able to work efficiently and calmly and never once was I in discomfort. I highly recommend this practice and plan to remain a patient here even after I move out of the area.

It was a positive experience; I'll likely continue to use this dentist while in the U.S. The only thing that bothered me was that they took X-rays without telling me the service wasn't covered. I only found out at the end when I was checking out. However, everything else was great. They provided a breakdown of what it would cost to have other procedures done.

Definitely tries to up-sell services. I had to ask the assistant to wipe down my chair because there were flecks of stuff on it from the last patient. They tried to charge my insurance for something I did not get - unclear if this was just an honest mistake or an attempt to make an extra buck. It was 100% covered by insurance, so it didn't hit me, but still questionable.

I found my experience at this establishment to be most unpleasant. The practitioner attempt to "up sell" his services throughout the cleaning.

He was really nice and helpful and definitely knew what he was talking about. For a general cleaning, he was fine. The only thing I wasn't too happy about was that I felt like he wanted to make a sale. He kept pushing invisalign when I was not really interested. I also got a night guard and it had to be adjusted with my other dentist given that it wasn't 100% perfect. Overall, he was okay.

Great visit! I didn't wait more than 10 minutes while my documents were processed. Both Dr. Soltani and his assistants were friendly and efficient. Dr. Soltani explained everything he was going through (very helpful). He was careful to check what my insurance covered or not before making any decision, and they stayed on the phone with my insurance for over 30 minutes to check my benefits. Truly excellent service.

Avoid. But, if you go, let's just say I'd highly, highly, highly recommend getting a second opinion. Review parameters won't allow me to specify why, for some reason. Be skeptical of all the glowing reviews - it's extraordinarily difficult to post a negative review here. I tried, but it was rejected even though it was an honest and accurate reflection of my experience.

Dr. Soltani was very thorough and kind. He explained everything that was happening - for a nervous patient like me that's super important. My only concern was that it turns out I had TONS gone wrong within the last year and a half since I had seen a dentist. A friend recommended that I get a second opinion, but at the end of the day I didn't - just went ahead and got my fillings and mouth guard. Keeping my fingers crossed that it wasn't too good to be true.
