Dr. Jenny Pennycook graduated medical school from St. Louis University. During medical school she earned a distinction in community service after working over 200 hundred hours at various locations including a free health clinic, a housing center for abused women and children, and a shelter for homeless pregnant women. She was also recognized for outstanding achievement by the department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health.
She went on to complete residency at St. Louis University program at St. Mary’s hospital. Throughout residency she served as co-director for resident recruitment, administrative chief resident and was awarded resident of the month on multiple occasions. She was also recognized by the faculty for outstanding professionalism, clinical and academic performance throughout residency training with the Chairmen’s Award (given to only one graduating resident). As administrative chief resident she served on the Quality Improvement committee and developed an interest in patient safety. She is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and a fellow in the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Pennycook was trained in all aspects of general obstetrics and gynecology. She has special interest in pregnancy management, contraception options, laparoscopic surgery and adolescent care. She is excited to accept new patients and develop ongoing relationships with them.
Dr. Pennycook lives with her husband Mike and their dog in St. Peters. She enjoys staying active, reading, walking her dog and especially spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Pennycook is beyond fantastic. I have never had a gynecology appointment go well, but Dr. Pennycook helped me understand all of my issues and the best ways to treat them and what would have to be done to make diagnoses. She answered my questions thoroughly, sincerely, and with distinct medical reasons for doing so. She is excellent and I would highly recommend her.
