She then immigrated to Miami, Florida at the age of 17 years old. She realized she wanted to be a dentist from a very early age. Her interests peaked from shadowing a family friend who was a dentist. Thankfully, she had supportive parents who realized her drive and focus, and who helped nurture her goals. She attended Howard University College of Dentistry and also completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Faxton-St.Luke’s Hospital in Utica, NY. Dental school helped teach Dr. Williams self-discipline, time management and how having a passion for something can transition into a rewarding career. During her undergraduate studies and continuing through today, she has spent many volunteer hours giving back to her communities with a variety of charities. A quote that Dr. Williams feels passionate about is from Mahatma Ghandi and states, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” In her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending quality time with her family and her 2-year-old daughter, Zahra.
