Dr. Katie Plunkett is originally from Boulder, CO and completed both her undergraduate and dental studies with The University of Colorado. During her graduate studies, Dr. Plunkett was a volunteer researcher for the Center for Native Oral Health at the Anschutz medical campus. This research became a foundational component of her dental treatment philosophy. She is passionate about the connection between oral and systemic health and aims to educate patients on best practices for preventing the need for dental treatment. She provides evidence-based care that’s focused on your individual needs and goals, in order to help you achieve the healthy smile you desire.
Following graduation, Dr. Plunkett was selected to continue her training in a General Practice Residency at the University of CO Anschutz Hospital. While there, she provided emergency dental care for hospital patients, as well as much-needed comprehensive dental care for medically compromised and special needs patients. She is passionate about continuing education and is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Colorado Prosthodontic Society, and Metro Denver Dental Society.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Plunkett loves spending time in the garden, traveling, and enjoying nature with her husband and dogs. On the weekends, you can expect to find her slowly chipping away at various home improvement projects and enjoying the company of loved ones.
