Dr. Eric Furie is a skilled and compassionate orthopedic surgeon serving the community of Atlanta, GA. Dr. Furie earned his medical degree from the State University of New York in Buffalo. He completed his internship in surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at the State University of New York in Stony Brook, where he was chief resident. Dr. Furie continued his training by completing a fellowship in arthroscopy and sports medicine at Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center.
Dr. Furie is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Atlanta Orthopaedic Society, and the Georgia Orthopaedic Society. He is affiliated with Atlanta Medical Center and Piedmont Hospital.
Dr. Furie received the New York State Regents Scholarship in 1984 and the Harry and Helen Aibinder Scholarship in 1986. He was the vice chairman of the department of orthopedic surgery at Atlanta Medical Center in 2005 and became the chairman in 2008.
Dr. Furie is dedicated to helping patients receive the treatment they need so they can enjoy a positive and fulfilling lifestyle.
