Went in for a consultation and he did the procedure right then and there. He was very personable as well as his medical assistant.
My wife was in the room with me and she started to get light headed. The doctor and his assistant sprang into action to make sure she was okay.
They were very helpful, caring, and informative. I would recommend them to anyone. My wife has an appointment next week to remove a few moles now.

Dr. Stathakis was very kind and non judgemental about my sun damage. He listened to my history and what I currently do to protect myself from the sun and verified that I was following good judgement. He was very thorough and professional when checking moles and freckles. He inquired about non skin specific checkups as well as what I came in for. While examining, he also addressed skin issues I didn't know could be remedied. He took the time to listen, ask specific questions and give good feedback and direction. The previous dermatologists I had seen were rude, judgemental, assuming and quickly pushed me out the door... Dr. Stathakis was none of that and one of the few Doctors I will continue to see.

I walked in feeling self-conscious if a recent acne breakout...Dr Stathakis walked in without introducing himself; he interrupted me when I answered his questions; he sat at the head of the treatment table and gestured to me to lay down, then placed a very bright, very hot light in my face and proceeded to pop ALL my zits on my face--which was so painful it made my ears tear up. He gave me a highly toxic oral drug and a topical one which he says will irritate my already-irritated skin. Then his advice was not to pop my pimples, even though I told him I own the same instrument he used to pop them--but in his defense he probably didn't hear me because he interrupted me while I was telling him that.
I walked out with a red, swollen face, dripping with blood from all the popped zits. I've never been so uncomfortable, embarrassed, and disappointed with a Dermo.
I really don't like writing negative reviews, but I don't think anyone should ever have to go through what I did so I hope this testimonial helps you make an informed decision about who not to see for skin care

I was quite impressed by Dr. Stathakis; he conducted a brief, yet thorough examination, not just a dismissive, cursory scan. I felt comfortable at all times, which is unusual for me as I tend to be nervous in doctor's offices, especially in situations when I'm stripped to my underwear and feeling vulnerable. I felt Dr. Stathakis genuinely cared about me, he allowed me to ask questions, and he listened and took care of my concerns. His assistant was kind and attentive as well; and the front office staff were pleasant too. I highly recommend Dr. Stathakis.

Dr. Stathakis was fantastic. He made me feel so comfortable. Usually dermatologists want to get in, get out, and write you a script and send you on your way. Dr. Stahakis wanted to know my medical history and asked about my lifestyle and like a great Physician assessed how that may have an affect on my skin. I am very happy to be returning for my follow up next week. I would highly recommend Phoenix Skin and Dr. John Stathakis.

the Dr made me feel comfortable and at ease. I had a sever infection on my feet and we are now doing the cure. However I did not appreciate the 8 hour wait to get my perscriptions. The asst didn't have time to do it right away(electronicly sent in these days) she said 3 hours and she would send it in. I called 3.5 hours later she was at lunch.left a messge. no callback I called again an hour later she had not sent it inyet but would o it righ away. i waited 45 minutes and called the store to get the perscriptions. not there yet. nearly 5pm with another call to the Dr office finallythe store had my perscription. . Severe infection and after the DR I waited all day to get my perscription. NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT!!!
