Dr. Benjamin F. Gilbert, III is a 1986 graduate of Norristown Area High School. Upon graduation from high school, Dr. Gilbert matriculated to Howard University, in Washington, D.C. and majored in Botany. He received a B.S. in Botany in 1990. After entering Howard University College of Dentistry in the fall of 1990, he was elected Freshman Class President and later elected as the Dental School Representative for the Graduate Student Assembly.
Once he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery on May 14, 1994, Dr. Gilbert began his career by associating in a practice located in New York, which specialized in Dental Implants and Surgery. After a year of practicing in New York he moved back to the Philadelphia area. Dr. Gilbert later became the Dental Director of a community health center. He practices all phases of Dentistry, including; Implants, Periodontal, Surgery, Orthodontics, Endodontics, Cosmetic and General Dentistry. Dr. Gilbert gives back to the community by doing free oral screenings with the Colgate Van, participating in career days at local schools, and opening his practice to the underserved children of Montgomery County. Dr. Gilbert is a member of the National Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry. In his free time, he enjoys reading, snowboarding, fitness, and cycling.
