In my career in medicine I have seen too many patients get lost in the managed care shuffle. Therefore I have set out to practice primary care medicine the way it was meant to be practiced, before third party payers began to dictate how to practice medicine. My notion of ideal primary care medicine consists of: Up to date medicine with a focus on disease prevention rather than treating patients after the fact. Prompt Treatment. There are no long waits for appointments and this includes options for evening hours as well. I spend time with my patients and get to know them, allowing me to treat them as a whole. I am accessible;, calls and even emails are returned promptly and there is no phone tree to get to a person. I empower patients to join in the decision making process.
