Dr. Spiewak was exceptional in checking my son for his astigmatism. She helped us from putting the right claim to the last minute instructions very calmly and best possible way. My son, who is a 7 years old, didn't feel at all nervous or uncomfortable with her. She is a must-visit doctor for your eye problems.

Dr. Magdalena Spiewak OD (owner and optometrist) attended St. John’s University in New York for her bachelor’s degree in Biology. From there she attended SUNY College of Optometry in New York City for her doctorate degree. Dr. Spiewak completed an extensive specialty contact lens internship at SUNY College Of Optometry and she is trained in fitting rigid gas permeable lenses for people with high near-sightedness (myopia) and patients with keratoconus.
Dr. Spiewak began her professional career in Brooklyn, NY. She worked in a diverse area of Brooklyn where the patient population oftentimes had little access to proper healthcare. She routinely saw patients with undiagnosed diabetes and hypertension, and various retinal presentations of these systemic conditions. She strongly believes in providing quality eyecare for everyone.
Dr. Spiewak moved to the central New Jersey area in 2011 and has worked in Eatontown, New Brunswick, and East Brunswick. She has two children; 5 year old Aiden and 2 year old Ava and resides with her husband in nearby East Brunswick.
Dr. Spiewak also speaks fluent Polish.

I was treated quickly, efficiently, and with accuracy, but the optometrist was not friendly at all. Never smiled nor was she pleasant. She made me feel unwanted and like it was a hassle seeing me. I would not recommend going to her.

The staff and doctor were very professional and courteous. The appointment started on time and it was and efficient and thorough. The facility is clean and easy to get to. While there, the staff was dealing with multiple patienta, but provided excellent one on one care for each person. The prices are extremely reasonable and I would highly recommend this office.

I went to see Dr. Spiewak for myself and liked her very much. I decided to take my 8 yr old daughter to see her just to make sure her eyes were ok not thinking she really needed glasses. After all they do eye exams at school, but let's just take her in to see. I don't know how She passed the exam at school?! She is super patient and kind and I was even more impressed with her with my daughter's appointment. I already booked my mother an appointment with her as well.

Dr. Spiewak was excellent. The front staff seemed to either be new to their position or having some sort of off-day. I was not greeted warming nor really acknowledged much so that was not too enjoyable to experience. Dr. Spiewak was prompt, courteous, and highly professional.

She was very quick, precise and friendly and explained everything she was doing.
I was out in under 30min which included the 10 minutes waiting for my eyes to dilate and picking out glasses.

My visit with Dr. Spiewak was great. There was no wait time at all. The Dr actually greeted me. She introduced herself; explained how the exam was going to go step by step. Dr. Spiewak also explained everything in simple language that I could understand and not with all that medical jargon. My experience with the chain optometry offices were not all that great. For one the Dr wasn't hospitable at all and I felt like they were shuffling me around from person to person. My wait time was 30 minutes are more. None of this happened at Dr Spiewak's office. The office is very welcoming. Barbara, Dr Spiewak's office manager was great too. She took the time to review the selections I had chose for my lens; including discounts and prices. She even called me after I left to let me know there was an error on one of the choices I made for my lenses. The cost would be more than what was quoted.and gave me the difference that would be my balance due when I picked up my glasses. In my opinion they have the right name "Family Eye Care" I finally found my eye care home!
