Dr. Marashi was amazing! I love to see him personally and not his NP because it leaves me at ease to know he will help me with my concerns.
Dr. Mirashi listens and addressed all of my concerns. He is very easy to talk and is a professional about his work. You cant go wrong with him.
Dr. Marashi was very personable and kind. He answered all my questions and was thorough. I'll be glad to see him again.
Great doctor. Very thorough and knowledgeable. Plus, very friendly.
Great doctor.sometimes late but overall great doctor
Dr. Marashi is the most gentle doctor that I have ever had! So sweet and humble.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was seen right after I was done filling out my papers. Dr. Marashi answered any question I had, he was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. It's very hard to find a good gyno in NYC and I'm happy I found this doctor. Highly recommend him.
He was great the staff was extremely professional can't wait for my next appointment!!
Everyone is friendly and prompt. No complaints. Love going there.
Great staff. Everyone was polite and efficient. I was seen as soon as I filled out the paperwork. Doctor Marashi was patient, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
He was very professional and knowledgeable.
This has been the best Doctor I have seen in NY. I was informed about my condition and advised about my ongoing treatment.
Absolutely love this doctor. He is very respectful and listens to what you have to say and doesn't give you the run around. He performed a labiaplasty due to an accident I had a few years back and omg it looks sooo good like as if the accident never happened. Surgery was quick and followed up with me the following day. This doctor is legit and I recommend him 100%. The wait is kinda long but if I can sit there with no patience, anyone can especially when it's worth it.
Office was welcoming . He listened to any concerns and appointment went fast . Perfect
I was seen by Eliana who was amazing with some great advice about treatment and prevention. The wait was a little longer than I would have liked but it was worth it.
He puts you at ease and listens to your concers. I highly recommend him.
It was great everyone is polite
My appointment with Dr. Marashi was Great! He's so sweet and gentle and makes you feel so comfortable. I highly recommend him!
Dr. Marathi is an amazing doctor. He really listens to your concerns and takes his time on trying to find a solution. I would definitely recommend him.
He is a Great doctor
The visit was what I expected and I hope my issue was resolved. One girl with glasses behind the counter was a bit rude, but I ignored it.
Dr. Marashi is a breath of fresh air. He's vey patient and knowledgeable. He takes his time and explains everything very clearly. The office staff was very professional.
Dr. Morashi & colleagues operate a clean, intimate and highly-effective gynecological practice. They are the best care for the price-point. Recommend to any young woman, professional, mothers-to-be.
Dr. Marashi is amazing! I went to him for a corrective labiaplasty cosmetic procedure. I originally went to a vaginal surgeon for an outer lip (majora) reconstruction in midtown manhattan when I was 20 years old! I do not want to exploit this surgeon's practice, so I will not specify, but at such a young age, I was not happy with how my outer lips protruded. I was even embarrassed to wear a bikini without shorts, afraid someone would notice. Unfortunately, the midtown manhattan surgeon made it look worse than it was! I became so tainted. I had not seen anyone in regards to its fixing it for five years! I somewhat hid the issue from myself by putting underwear on right after the shower and not looking at myself naked. I simply decided to ignore it, believing my vagina is a hopeless case anyway. Years later (last year), it began to bother me again, psychologically. Surprisingly, there aren't many gynecologists that offer this surgical procedure, especially close to my midtown manhattan apartment. So, last year, I built up the courage and went back to the same doctor to fix his own work. With a significant discount and an apology, he redid his first surgery with a different sort of excision. After approximately four months of total recovery, there was an ultimate aesthetic improvement. The pain only lasted a week or so, but swelling took much longer to fully minimize. However, along with the results of this second surgery, came some asymmetry and more visibility of one side of my inner lip (minora) and I didn't like it. One year later (this year), and despite the two past surgeries, I was still not happy with myself nude. I'd still avoid standing in front of the mirror naked. I had to do something... again... :( After hearing Dr. Marashi's name a couple of times from some acquaintances, I scheduled a consultation with him. During my visit, he made me feel so comfortable. His tone of voice is very caring and understanding. He's super easy to talk to and very knowledgeable and insightful. Even the practice manager, Michelle, was super warming during our chit chat about my unhappiness. The overall concept of this sort of procedure is overwhelming as it is, but the two definitely put my mind much more at ease. What a difference from my midtown surgeon's practice and the commute was less than twenty minutes from midtown manhattan! Now, it's my first week of recovery after my third procedure! I already see the amazing results. The alignment is perfect! I am experiencing almost no pain and there's barely any swelling. It's like nothing happened. Also, I have been much more calm and far less "on edge" throughout this entire process, unlike my last two. Such a huge difference between the practices visited, physically, mentally, and emotionally! I most highly and definitely recommend!! The most understanding, soothing, and calming ob/gyn I've ever come across. I highly recommend for regular visits too, but most definitely for vaginal surgeries and/or enhancements. Skip the "fancy" manhattan cattle-mill-like vaginal surgical practices. They don't compare! Hope the world is ready for a more confident me!! Thank you, Dr. Marashi! Jackie M.
Doctor is great but the wait times can be crazy.
The doctor and his staff were very professional. He provided feedback to my questions asap
Liked my dr but the staff is unprofessional (came in while I was changing to rummage through the cabinets) and the wait time is absurd - doesnt really seem like appointments are honored whatsoever, more of a first come first serve situation.
It was a pleasant experience. The staff was incredibly nice and warm and the office was beautiful and comfortable. All of my questions and concerns were addressed and the staff truly showed me they were genuinely interested in me and my health.
He's awesome and so is his staff
He is amazing and explains everything and does not rush you out the room, he's also gentle!
First the office rescheduled my appointment because the dr wouldnt be arriving at the office by then. Fine! Secondly, the office tried to put me with another doctor even though I was scheduled to see dr Marashi. In a way maybe that would be better because dr Marashi seemed really arrogant and has very poor bad side manner. he was giving me attitude because he was misinform that I didn't want an exam, when I only didn't want to get a pep done and was looking forward to an exam by the doctor. As far as the pep, his own assistance was telling me i shouldn't get one because the insurance wouldn't pay for it twice in a year. after waiting more than 2 hours, the doctor showed us, and as he was looking at all the test report he started condasending me saying people should stay with one doctor and it's not like what different food you want to eat each day something somethings.. He didn't even let me tell him about other problems I was having. I was so stonished by behavior I just stood there. I was extremely upset because I was looking forward to finding a doctor that will be reliable and will be my regular doctor. It's upsetting because when it comes to doctor, you want someone you can explain you health problems to and expect him or her to be respectful about it, not someone who seem to think your case is beneath him. I personally wouldn't reschedule any appointment with this doctor again. Hope this helps those who reviews before picking a doctor. Thank you
Apart from the first two times I've gone to his office, he has left/gone to lunch before my appointment was scheduled. So I was left to be seen by random doctors who knew nothing about my history or past medications. Needless to say, I no longer go here
He is fantastic. Worth the wait
they were very professional as well as welcoming.
The doctor and his staff were very professional.
This doctors office is absolutly wonderful. I've been to a few different OBGYNs in NY and this was by far the best. I came in for an annual exam and I felt that it was the most thorough of any I've had. They took the time to answer my questions and made me feel at ease. Would highly recommend. Thanks again for everything!
, I am glad that I chose Dr. Amir Marashi. I chose him because of the positive and sincere comments that were posted about him. He was as described. I was very pleased with his mannerisms and professional advice.
Dr. Marashi and the entire staff are all excellent and while it can be a long wait time, it's well worth. By far the best gynecologist or Doctor I've ever been seen by. He diagnosed me with a disease all mr previous OBGYNs had been ignoring for the last 12 years.
I did not care for Dr. Marashi. He was nice enough, but in order to get my results they wanted be to take time out of my day to come back to the office. I find it ridiculous that in this day and age that a doctor would not provide routine test results over the phone or find a way for me to access them securely online. When I went back earlier this year, a medical student came in to conduct my exam. Not an issue in and of itself, but I found it unprofessional that I wasn't even notified when I checked in for my appointment that he would not be the one to see me, especially when it concerns something like gynecologic exam. Add to all this very long wait times. I will be looking for another doctor.
Everyone was super nice!
I love it ! Will definitely be back !
Dr. Marashi is a fantastic doctor, he performed my surgery and was always kept in close contact with me from start to finish. He very much care about his patients. I must say he is quite a busy physician, my follow up appointment I had to wait over an hour because he was in surgery.
I love their services
After signing my name and identifying myself the second thing i notice was Award for Excellence. He made me feel comfortable to dicuss the issues I had and was very thorough with the results. I understood everthing he explained to me ( which was in great detail ) I look forward to my follow up visit, I also recommend all to try him at least once. You will not be disappointed.
Dr. Marashi was incredible. He made me feel extremely comfortable. The only thing I wasn't too impressed with was the front staff. 20 minutes before I even was given my paperwork or asked for ID. It wasn't even busy. But the doctor himself was so wonderful that I will go back.
Long wait for nothing. Reasons for visit should have been discussed prior to sitting naked on the table. Too many staff doing too many things. Will go back for blood test results but that is all
My appt was for 9:30am. It's 11am and still haven't seen the doctor. They don't go by appt time, so this might be my last visit.
While they work quickly due to high patient volume, I have been very satisfied with this site.
The second time i waited 2 hours to have a 3 minute conversation (it was actually shorter than 2 minutes but i've rounded up). and I was only able to see him after complaining directly to one of the assistants about my wait. I'm not sure if I could fully recommend this place. Also the address listed for this office on Willoughby avenue has actually been changed and they have moved to DeKalb. I did not receive a call from the office to inform me of this change of address and found out only after walking to the address listed on ZocDoc and reading a sign on the door. The new office is about a 7 minute walk, but is pretty irritating to do in 97 degree weather. All in all, not a great experience. Hopefully once they get settled in, it'll get better (I also noticed that in order to get into the actual examination rooms one must climb 2-3 steps, so it does not seem to be handicap accessible like the old office).
It was good but I still have some unanswered questions about my diagnosis and felt that the doctor was anxious to operate.
I think it's safe to say in any lifetime that the number of doctor's offices like Dr. Marashi's is few and far between. I was seen quickly and the staff was incredibly kind and Dr. Marashi was knowledgeable and had a very pleasant bedside manner. It's nice to see an office really looking out for the patient's best interest.
My visit was great. I met with the PA and she was more than effective and answer all my questions. I was very pleased after my visit.
I was impressed with the treatment I received; I'v been down this road before, but they took the time to listen to me and then plan a course of action.
Dr. Marashi is a great Dr.! The best GYN I have had yet!
I will continue to recommend Dr. Marashi to anyone looking for a good caring doctor. He does truly care about his patients and their well being. A big thing for me is that he remembers all of his patients. He is the first male GYN doctor I had and I truly feel comfortable talking with me about any issue I am having. if you need a new GYN doctor I truly recommend him, you will be happy.
Dr. Marashi was very nice and kind. The wait time was horrendous though.
he receptionts/assistants in the office seemed more interested in each other than in the patients. I arrived 45 minutes ahead of schedule since it was my first visit and i knew there would be paperwork. I made note of at least 3 obstetric patients arriving after me and after my actual appointment time. They all had their sonograms before me, saw the doctor and were sent on their merry way before me. When i approached the desk to inquire about this, the receptionist gave me a blank stare then stated that the other women were there for obstetrics and not gyn. I had to tell her, even though I had submitted my chart that with all that information, that I was also here for obstetrics. She then tried to act as though the client they just took ahead of me arrived before me. I had to tell her to check her sign in sheet because there was mistaking the arrival of the woman in the brightly colored flowered jeans! The ultrasound tech was however, very warm, knowledgeable and accomodating. when i finally saw Dr. Marashi, he was very nice but because of what may have been an error on ZocDoc, he said he was unable to help me because he is NOT a high risk obstetrician. It is clearly listed under his profile here on ZocDoc that he handles high risk patients and that was the major determining factor in my selection of him. The doctor did not touch me, even though I was told by the medical assistant to get undressed from the waist down to wait for the doctor. The medical assistant, by the way took my blood pressure reading with a cuff that barely made it past my elbow which resulted in an extremely high reading, even though i mentioned that it was too small and should probably be changed to the larger size. She asked if i knew my weight. I said i didn't know my current weight as i may have gained due to the pregnancy. I offered the last recorded weight from 2 weeks ago and told her it was two weeks prior but to my amazement she left content not to weigh me. Can i say lazy?
The girls there weren't the most friendly and barely looked you in the eye when speaking to you but the Physicians assistant was excellent and I was seen In a decent amount of time
I love Dr Marashi. He made me feel so comfortable and answered every question I had. Before him, I was extremely skeptical about having a male dr, but he's better than the women drs at that same practice.
I had been coming here for nearly 2 years for chronic yeast/BV issues, as well as my regular pap services and so forth. Dr. Marashi is great, but the problem is it's not really guaranteed when you book that you are actually seeing him. In fact, over the course of the past year, I haven't seen Dr. Marashi once and the reception desk never informs you of the change. Dr. Bridget is good if you happen to get her, but oftentimes I'll get stuck with Dr. Kelly who is HORRIBLE. I pretty much decided not to come anymore after the last appointment when she actually argued that she had not seen me the past time because she didn't document it in her paper chart, as though I wouldn't remember another human inside me. Then proceeded to lecture me on advice she had given me herself. The wait time here is notoriously terrible—even with a reservation and literally no one in the waiting room, I usually end up waiting over an hour. Honestly not worth the hassle.
It took about 10 minutes after I was done with my paperwork to be seen. The doctor was very professional and told me everything he was doing as he was doing it. Overall a good visit and I will visit that office again.
Everything about the visit was short and sweet! Staff were courteous and professional and Dr. Marashi was amazing! Will definitely be going back.
The appointment itself was fine, aside from the very little actual communication between any of the doctors/nurses/receptionists and I. It seemed almost awkward to ask follow-up questions or clarifications on anything they discussed with me. My largest complaint comes with filling the birth control prescription that was written for me. My insurance requires that this be filled by a mail service and requires the doctor's authorization before continuing the 12-month prescription. I have called twice, spoken with two different representatives, to ask for this to take place and it still has yet to happen. Here I am, two months after my last birth control pill was taken, without a refill. I have very little faith in this medical office in terms of follow-through and accuracy, and wish I had chosen to go elsewhere from the very beginning.
Professional like always.
My appointment went really well
The staff were fantastic. I was seem as soon as I completed my paperwork. If you are looking for a doctor where everything is done under one roof. This is the place for you. I had a great experience. I would recommend this office to my friends.
The wait time is always the worst but Dr Marashi is so good I don't even want to see another doctor. Super compassionate, very respectful, honest and thorough. Highly recommend!
Dr. Marashi was very direct and to the point. The wait time was good. However, Dr. Marashi's demeanor and bedside manners were horrible. It's a fact, it's not what you say, it's how you say it. Currently looking for a better practitioner!
This visit was a complete sucess, from the initial greeting from the receptionist then the friendly conversation with the lady who performed the sonogram and lastly the informative soothing my fears Doctor Marashi.. Going forward my gyn visits will be done with Dr. Marashi.
My visit with Dr. Amir Marashi was awesome.
Great doctor. I went to have an IUD implanted but was not informed that I had to be on my period and was rescheduled. Well my period never came because I was pregnant with twins!!! The doctor was very friendly and professional.
It was great. The receptionist was great. And the Phlebotomist was AMAZING!
The staff was very professional and informative and I did not have a long wait time
Dr. Marathon was incredibly thorough and offered ample explanation, as well as a ton of 1-1 time to be sure I understood the intricacies of his craft. Very patient.
He is the best doctor I know.
Was a little off out by the office and how packed it was but after meeting dr. Marashi I immediately was put at ease. Great doc.
He's amazing. I've been seeing him for a few years now. I don't plan on letting go any time soon. Highly recommended to anyone seeking a new GYN!
Dr. Marashi was a pleasure to work with! He was very personable and I always leave knowing I received excellent care.
If you get to see Dr. Marashi, then that's great. He's fantastic. But the past two times, he hasn't been there (even though I've made appointments with him). The first time I waited nearly an hour before they told me he wasn't there. The second time, I saw a PA who prescribed me the wrong medication for what she diagnosed. In fact, on the bottle of medication it said, "do not use for /what condition I had/" When I called the office and tried to ask them to change to fix it, they told me to call back after 1 when a nurse was available. I called at 1:15 and they told me the office was closed and to go to the ER. I had to call my GP on the weekend and he gave me the right prescription. Now, the office called me yesterday saying I needed to come in but not to make an appointment. I called today and they said, "you should have made an appointment" and that there are no doctors or nurses there and they aren't sure when they are coming in. How do you run a doctor's office without doctors and nurses? I'm going to change doctors offices - even though Marashi is an amazing doctor - because of the desk staff.
He is the best dr you can have. Everything that you want to be in dr he has.
Great doctor, horrible desk staff.
The wait is always a bit longer than I'd like but Dr Marashi is so professional and great at making me feel comfortable that I always find it's worth it.
Dr. Marashi was fine. I've only seen him once but it was a good experience. Especially the lab technician. I think that's what they're called.. In any case, the lady who drew my blood- she was delightful! I was the last patient on a Saturday afternoon and she was so pleasant and patient and the needle didn't hurt AT ALL! However, I will never visit this office again due to my experience with the front desk/billing. They've been giving me the run around for months over a very simple billing error. It's clear no one I've spoken with has any intention of actually correcting the mistake. So, unfortunately, good doctor, terrible office staff. Go somewhere else.
I have seen Dr Marashi on three occasions now, and absolutely love his approach to healthcare and bedside manner. He is kind, sensitive to your needs and efficient without having you schedule a million follow up appointments. His office, on the other hand, could use some improvements, starting with his staff. They are not the brightest nor friendliest, and the wait time is always over an hour. To be fair though, I'm not sure if that's their fault or the physicians they support. One last thing - I had a terrible experience at the clinic Dr Marashi uses for IUD placements. I won't go into details here as it's not appropriate (and I don't blame Dr Marashi at all for what went wrong), but be sure to get the name and look at reviews if you are planning to have Dr Marashi do a procedure that requires outpatient facility use. You might have some say in where you get the procedure done.
It was wonderful
The visit was great and easy. I didn't actually meet Dr. Marashi but his colleague.
I went in for a gyn follow up. It was my first time seeing Dr. Marashi & everyone treated me w. respect & I didn't wait long to be seen. I would definitely recommend this doctor! He didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all.
It was really quick and easy.
Very Professional and he remembered my name after meeting me one time!!
Aside from the wait time, Doctor Marashi is great!! I feel comfortable going there and talking to I'm about my concerns. I highly recommend him.
Very friendly and inviting environment I would definitely go back here again
The wiser I will never see this man again saw him in April told me he called never called and never told me anything until today smh I will never see this guy again the lies unprofessional I waited so long it was ridiculous
It may have been a stole of luck, but I was in and out of the office in no time. The staff was very friendly and Dr.Marashi was knowledgable and calm. It was my first time with a male doctor and I didn't feel awkward at all. Very satisfied!
Straight forward, funny, very comfortable. Everyone in the office was fantastic, even through a glitch in my insurance. I appreciate their patience, and humor. Definitely recommended.
Dr. Marashi was wonderful. Very understanding and friendly. But I arrived at my appointment 20 minutes early, and waited over 2 hours before I was seen by him. He said he was stuck in surgery, but I was only asked after that 2 hours if I'd like to be seen by one of the other doctors who was there. And none of the staff gave us any information why the extremely long wait. Would've appreciated more transparency in the situation, and if they'd asked sooner, I'd much rather have seen another doctor than wait so long.
I've never had a male OBGYN before but Dr Marashi made me feel instantly comfortable. He was really thorough, compassionate and gentle. His office is really clean and comfortable, though I felt the wait was a lot longer than I would have liked. That said, I would definitely recommend and return!
He ws very professional and took his time explaining things. He found things that no other GYN ever pucked up on. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend him. Excellent staff as well.
The office is definitely nothing fancy but the doctor was extremely nice, non-judgmental and easy to talk to. I had only planned to go here in an emergency because they could take me when I needed to go in, but now I'm thinking of making Dr. Marashi my ob/gyn permanently (I just moved here so I don't already have one). The only problem was the wait, it was pretty ridiculous. But I would still go here again.
He was friendly and pleasant
The assistants seemed a bit clueless but he was very kind and open to my concerns, if perhaps a bit rushed. For a last-minute appointment, fine. For a permament OB-GYN I would look elsewhere.
I think he was tired and ready to depart the office. When I made the appointment, I was told that I would be seen by him and his PA. When I arrived, he was seeing patients, but I was seen by only the PA at first. At the end of my testing, I was given a summary by the PA told to schedule a follow up. I had to request to see the doctor before he left and he audibly asked out loud, "why am I meeting with her?" and the PA responded explaining that I was under the belief I would see the actual doctor today. Aren't I visiting a doctor's office? He looked over my chart, asked me if I was pregnant, which from my chart it should show my symptoms, and my last menstrual cycle. That proved to me he did not review my chart that I asked to be faxed in from my prior gynecologist (which sat in the fax machine my entire visit for over two hours, because NO one ever checked if it came through even though I asked short of 5 times) or the current chart they started at his office that day. He then recommended I take a pregnancy test, a blood test for lab work, and lose weight. Thank you doctor for pretty much rushing me in, rushing me out and then telling me something I already know.
As always, Marashi was great
Completely out of the blue while I was having a consultation to check the position of my newly fitted IUD, Dr Marashi thought it would be funny to show me photos of other patients vaginal cosmetic surgery that he had on his phone. Gross! And totally inappropriate and surely a breach of his other's patient's privacy. Guess it's back to only seeing female OB-Gyns.
The doctor made me very comfortable and his staff was nice, not to mention the wait to see him so extremely short. I was happy with my visit
Excellent, very kind and professional
He's very professional and has a pleasant demeanor. I would refer my friends to his office.
I like Dr. Marashi. I think he is very friendly and welcoming. His office, however, is a zoo. My wait today was 90 minutes, and a person waiting for a post-op appointment waited more than 2 hours. The staff need to work on how they speak with patients and be mindful about delays.
On my follow up for my polyp removal this doctor proceeded to stick his fingers inside me move them around then say they can't see any polyps. Really?? Mind you no sonograms were performed. What you used your x-ray vision to see that everything was clear? I felt discriminated against because of my weight. Who does that to a patient? This is the second negative gyn experience I've had. My first was much worse but both combined I haven't been able to go to a gyn going on two years now.
Dr. Marashi is incredibly nice and took the time to explain the impacts of his findings and all possible resolutions. He provided me options and took into account any future plans that I may have.
I came in for a check-in. It was super fast and I was out in less than 35 minutes. He was nice and had great bedside manners. I appreciated his explanations of test results and other things.
I appreciated that he gave me a good amount of explanation while he was very busy. He is very good and seemed quite reliable.
Dr. Marashi is great. I honestly don't know what I would have done without him. I have had 2 different surgeries with him, and now he is my OB for a pregnancy I worried I would never be able to have. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and I always feel comfortable during appointments with him (which I have never been able to say with any other GYN I have seen). I would highly recommend Dr. Marashi ... Office staff and wait time leave something to be desired, but for me this doctor is worth it.
Most sincere and knowledgable doctor
He was very kind and professional. The reason why the wait was so long was because he was pulled away during my appointment to perform an emergency c-section but that's understandable. Both he and his staff were very apologetic about it
He was very nice answered all my questions I was seen right away didn't really like the front desk Staff not to friendly but hey can't be picky Dr.Marashi is my new GYN for life
He's very nice made me feel comfortable.
I was very disappointed by this experience. There was a long wait for an appointment that was less than 10 minutes during which the doctor asked very few questions and obviously hadn't even looked at my chart.
Dr. Marashi is the best doctor I have ever been to! His kindness and professionalism are unmatched. He is always available to answer questions or concerns and I never feel rushed or like "just another patient". He is my regular GYN, but I have also seen him for botox, facial filler and he did a wonderful job on my vaginoplasty + labiaplasty- surgeries I had been considering for a long time. I trust him completely. A wonderful doctor!
The time of my appointment I was seen ... Doc Marashi is areally nice
Muy buena clínica me gustó la atención
IT WAS GOOD. I WAS VERY SATISFIED.
Amazingly Professional and Thorough Wow! So it took a little bit to see the doctor, but once I walked into the treatment room and was seen by Dr Marashi, I felt as if I were the ONLY patient in his office.
Very talented surgeon, very patient and professional doctor and absolutely wonderful person.
Very professional and I like that he talks to you not at you and he was very thorough with the check up and very interested in my health and well being!!!
This doctor was late upon arrival. I know this because I was late for my appt and he was rushing to get into the elevator with me. I was under the impression that there were several patients with earlier appts. than mine who had been waiting a long time. During our consultation, he asked me about my sex life and explained that I needed to keep it "hot" in the bedroom otherwise my partner would probably leave me and cheat. He explained that toys and dressing up in costumes might help. Although he may have been right, I don't think this is appropriate professional advice. I do not feel comfortable returning to this doctor.
Love him!! assisted me with my hight risk pregnancy!
I am a new patient of Dr. Marashi's and really enjoyed my experience with the doctor. He was very thorough prior to the appointment and assuaged concerns I had. However, I strongly recommend Dr. Marashi take a few moments in the new year to review "how to provide customer service" with his staff. I have worked in medical offices before, and I know when I'm not getting the kind of attention I should. For example, prior to photocopying my ID card, the front office staff insisted on showing off one woman's new nail color. Another assistant was looking at her phone every moment I looked in her direction. They can do better.
This office(s) is highly disorganized. The staff is not very helpful and it took weeks of back and forth to try to reschedule my appointment (it still wasn't). I like Dr. Marashi, but I will have to look for a more reliable gynecologist.
Dr Marashi is wonderful....always swift and precise....I enjoy my visit each time I go.
i love the gyn here you don't wait long at all they are never crowded and if you are there for about an hour or so you are being seen for that amount of time
Dr. Marashi is a great doctor, but the wait in the office is always terrible. I had an 11:45 am appointment and I wasn't seen until about 2pm. Luckily, I had nothing else to do that day. The staff said he was in surgery and would be in the office late. Why didn't anyone inform me of this when I made the appointment, or the day before the appointment, or early in the morning on the same day?
Very professional. I like the way he treat his patients.
It was excellent, he is very professional, I highly recommend him
Very good doctor!
I came to my appointment almost an hour early today and I was seen within 20 minutes of arriving and leaving 15 minutes before my appointment was scheduled for. Dr Marashi is thorough and professional and I would highly recommend his practice.
I went to this Dr about a year ago with what Zocdoc would describe as a 'vaginal discharge/infection'. His diagnosis was essentially that I should consider Labiaplasty so that my vagina isn't irritated during sport. He also suggested he could help me make a case to my insurance to pay for it. For a surgery that is usually only proposed in extreme cases I was stunned that this was being suggested. But as he's a Dr and I thought I should listen I sat through the brochures and him showing me pics of past patient's vagina's, saying that their husbands were pleased because they now looked like porn stars. I hope that women with less self confidence than I have will not be tempted to consider this procedure. A year later, I've never had another infection and certainly no complaints from my boyfriend.
Good very happy with my visit .
Dr Marashi was very quick and accommodating. The medical assistants at the midtown location were kind of rude however. The one who greeted me while texting on her phone and didn't look up once.
Marashi is what you call a professional I have been seeing him for almost 3yrs even had surgery with him and never had a problem. He takes time out to explain everything to you One of my favorite drs
Usually the assistants help me. But they all seem very knowledgable and professional. I like the fact that they take health seriously without overdoing it. They aren't try to make me take too many unnecessary tests or scare me into becoming a hypochondriac.
Very comfortable, professional and over all a good experience
I was pleased with everything...Dr. Amir was very kind, he answered all my questions & brought some things to my attention that other GYN Docs never did. l Also the wait time was not bad at all. I would definitely tell a friend to tell a friend.
Great bedside manner, thorough and knowledgable. Answered my questions appropriately and fully. Wait time could have been less and some of the medical staff can be unprofessional (patients shouldn't know all about your baby-daddy issues!)
He takes time to explain things & is very kind & attentive.
This was basically the worst doctor appointment I've ever had. He said that he wishes his girlfriend never got her period. He also said that based on my clean STD bloodwork that I'm not "trying hard enough." Terrible bedside manner, unnecessary ultrasounds and extra bloodwork for guesses that I have a disease that I ultimately did not have. Avoid him.
Dr. Marashi is great, unfortunately his staff at the front desk never answer the phone. Every time I call they have call-forwarding on even though any time I visit theres always multiple people sitting at the front desk chit-chatting. I left several voicemails and nobody returned my phone calls. When I arrived for my appointment (which was confirmed through ZocDoc) nobody seemed to have a record of me having any appointments, and they were rude. Dr. Marashi apologized on their behalf but I really dread having to back here because the office staff is useless.
Dr. Marashi is one of the best Gynecologist i have seen in NY! He is very patient and caring, he always listens to my problems and complains very carefully. I love that he never pushes me to take birth control pills (every doctors i've seen always do that even if it's not necessary). I'm always recommending this doctor to everyone who wants to be treated professionally, carefully, and quickly. (I visited his Manhattan location, and i was very satisfied that the wait time was about 5 minutes)
Highly competent practice, seeking efficiency. However, demand of clientele still outstrips supply of MD professional appointment availability and wait time is higher than ideal; Still great practice.
As always Dr. Marashi answered all my questions. I will recommend him to anyone
Couldn't be happier and will definitely be going back to see Dr. Marashi!
He was very friendly and very gentle.
I've seen this provider in 3 occasions and have never been satisfied with his diagnosis. For example, he did an ultrasound and saw something with my ovaries that raised a concern, yet he declined further testing. He also mentioned the possibility if me being pregnant, yet he declined a pregnancy test as well. As a result, I am more comfortable seeking medical attention elsewhere. I've had to see another OBGYN to get a follow up.
I had to wait for quite a bit and listen to unprofessional conversations from the nurse staff. The office was completely unprofessional and felt very unsanitary. There is no privacy, you can hear patient/doctor conversations from the waiting area. The nurse didn't knock before entering, but rather poked her head in to make sure I was. Felt very intrusive. Dr. Marashi made me feel extremely uncomfortable to say the least! I would not recommend him, nor would I ever return to any of his offices. I left the appointment feeling violated and disgusted. I now have the inconvenience of scheduling additional examination with a new doctor, because I do not feel I was adequately evaulated.
I would reccomend Dr. Marashi to anybody I know. He is a great person and doctor and knows his stuff. I will continue to receive services from him!
The doctor himself is nice and seems knowledgeable. I finally decided against continuing with him because his main office is actually in Brooklyn which is inconvenient for me. However, I had many issues with the staff scheduling and re-scheduling appointments and, most recently, I am still fighting for the reimbursement of the co-payment that, turns out, they were not supposed to charge in the first place. They agreed to reimburse but it's been a month, 3 phone calls and promises-promises, but nothing else...
My visit was great, he's very respectful and sweet answered every question honestly. I would definitely recommend him.
He seems like he knows exactly what he is doing
My visit was pretty good he answered my questions, very respectful and well mannered. I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Marashi delivered my daughter in 2013. Because of his medical/obstetrical expertise, I was able to avoid a C-section during my delivery. He gave excellent care.
Appt at 2:00. Waited in the hall with 3 other patients until 2:30 just to be let into the locked office. Dr arrived around 2:40. Finally saw him at 3:15.
Always a great experience. Took his time to answer all questions and explain everything. Would highly recommend to anyone.
It was great!
Nice guy. Honest, likable, and humorous.
Lets face it, no one is happy about going to the GYN. Dr. Marashi makes it a breeze. He is a great doctor! I came to Dr. Marashi when I first found out that I was pregnant. From the beginning he was up front and honest with me. That is something I can appreciate in a doctor. Throughout my pregnancy he answered all my questions and concerns. He was also very diligent about getting back to me. When it came down to giving birth he tried his best to follow my plan of what I wanted and didn't want. Unfortunately sometimes things are out your control and emergencies happen. In the end, Dr. Marashi got my baby boy out safely, and that is all that matters. I would highly recommend him to anyone!! I would suggest going to the 7th Avenue office, you will be seen quickly!
Personable and engaging doctor. Addressed all of my concerns and was professional. Wait times both times weren't long at all--less than 10 minutes. Staff was very caring, polite, and attentive.
Would highly recommend to anyone.
My first time here, and I loved it. He will be my permanent doc!
Dr. Marashi was willing to call me during my appt. instead of having me come in, which was incredibly helpful. He had another patient in labor, but we were able to discuss test results in a professional and timely manner. Love Dr. Marashi!
I like Dr. Marashi. He puts you at ease, has a very pleasant demeanor and really takes time to answer questions. He does not rush you or give you brief answers. He seeks to educate you and explain anything unclear. I also believe him to be very intelligent and thorough. Overall I think he is a great GYN.
I was so ready to write a completely negative review for this practice because I ended up waiting over three hours to see Dr. Marashi, but I'll get to that later. Dr. Marashi was EXCELLENT. He was a great listener, good at explaining everything, and I like his approach to medicine (meaning he didn't just try to throw pills at me). We had a brief consultation, one of his female staff members did an ultrasound (he looked over everything, didn't pass off the work), and then another took blood. This is great if you want to see a great OB-GYN, but aren't quite comfortable with male doctors. I will definitely see him again, and I recommend him to everyone. It was well worth the three hour wait. Why a three hour wait? I was told several times during the waiting process that "he's very busy on Wednesdays." I arrived at 4:20. At about 4:50, the receptionist called my name. I thought I would be called in to be examined but, no. She called me to pay my copay. I was told that there would be a one hour wait because Marashi was busy. I asked the receptionist if I could leave and come back, and I was told that the doctor would not see me if I did this. I told myself that an hour really isn't that long, and sat in the left waiting room. The third installment of Twilight was playing. I ended up watching the movie almost two full times. While I watched the waiting room empty and staff members go home, I asked several times if I would be called soon. Again, I was told "he's busy on Wednesdays" or "he's with a prenatal patient so it takes some time." The staff was nice about it, but still, three hours? Pretty ridiculous.
I like the doctor... But the office staff is very rude
Dr. Marishi was great. He was courteous and kind and he listened to my concerns.
he is great!
It was a good experience
Very professional. Efficient, but not rushed. Took time to explain everything and was very friendly.
Great experince! At some point I didn't even feel like I was at a doctor's appointment. Very thorough, did not rush the appointment, the staff was nice. Highly recommended. Thank you!
Dr. Marashi was EXCELLENT! I changed from my previous OB/GYN to see him, and couldn't be happier with his services. His medical assistant staff was definitely a low point in the appointment. The medical assistant that worked with Dr. Marashi in the examining room was definitely on point. The other 2 medical assistants were completely unprofessional. The woman behind the front desk was not dressed professionally for the work place (jeans, sweatshirt) and was unable to complete my medical procedure (drawing blood). The other even asked me if I wanted STD testing in front of the waiting room patients??! I would highly, highly recommend his services, but be prepared for a level of un-professionalism from the staff that greets you when you walk in (and draws your blood!). Dr. Marashi really took care of ALL my needs though. I look forward to returning.
The nurse was rude but the docter was very proffesional! The waiting time was also long.
He was very professional and explains thing very well
Very professional and friendly. As well as very knowledgeable.
It was a little bit of a wait, but Dr Marashi was great, really nice, really thorough, and was very considerate about my time limitations.
I wish I did not have to get a d and c next Friday but, I necessary.
It was a packed office, but I only waited an hour to be seen and from there the doctor was knowledgable, made me feel comfortable and actually cared
Although there was a wait time, when I finally was seen by Dr. Marashi I understood why. He consulted with be both Before and After my examination. I have not experienced this from a Dr. in such a long time. I would highly recommend this doctor to any and everyone that would be willing to listen. Thank you so much for being a Dr. that actually wants to help their patients instead of writing numerous prescriptions and sending me on my way. I had officially lost all hope with Doctors until I met you. THANKS!
Unprofessional office environment. Did not follow up with test results.
he sounds really professional. I will recommend him to my friends.!!!!!
Amazing, gentle, professional. Used all technology needed and spoke in a coherent polite manner.
Dr. Marashi was very knowledgable, detailed and thorough. Would highly recommend.
I have been searching for a GYN doctor for the past 4 years. I have tried various ones but never felt comfortable talking about any problems I was experiencing. I never had a male GYN doctor before but after reading the reviews on Zocdoc I decided to give Dr. Marashi a try and I am so happy I did. Dr. Marashi was wonderful. He takes his time with his patients. When you are a first time patient he really gets to know about you as a person. I can say I found my GYN doctor and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a GYN.
I was appaulled by the wait time... but over all good service. BUT you gotta fix that wait time!
I was extremely pleased with my first visit with Dr. Marashi, I have been searching for an GYN in NYC that has the time to sit and discuss concerns. I would highly recommend!
People like him are rare and hard to find. He is a top notch professional who has a great talent and a very kind heart. When was the last time you talked to your doctor and he would listen to you and worry about the things as much as you do? Well, Amir does it all. I am two weeks post op. Noone can even see I had a surgery- my abdomen look exactly as before the laparoscopy. I went back to work next day and never took even one pain killer afterwards. He is just as good as you can imagine and a little more. I really have no words, he is just someone special who can do just about anything and never make you feel uncomfortable, as we girls often feel with OB-GYN. I don't dread my visits to OB-GYN anymore, i look forward to!
He was aggressive in administering my blood work, which I greatly appreciate. I have a follow up appt in 2 weeks. Let's see what happens!
He was knowledgeable, professional and kind.
Very good dr. Did his his best to make me feel comfortable during the procedure. He was quick and thorough. He's very nice :)
Dr. Marashi was really great, very thorough and really nice. He took the time to meet with me before examination to ask about history and any questions I might have.
Everyone was polite. Im definitely keepin him as my doctor.
I had not seen a GYN for 10 yrs, I was nervous however he was so kind and professional,my nerves went away. he took his time and answer all my question. very kind staff, He also know his field. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Marashi was very compassionate. He was very thorough with his questioning and answers. I immediately felt comfortable with him and his sonogram technican. The administrative staff was friendly and he had the best phlebotomist on site. Highly recommended.
amazing as always. leave feeling all my questions were answered. would recommend to anyone.
I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt that the ratings on Dr. Marashi's profile didn't reflect my experience. In general Dr. Marashi and the staff are friendly, but a few things bothered me during the appointment: 1) A trainee was invited to observe my pap exam without asking my permission first. She looked uneasy to be there, and was only introduced as being a new trainee after I asked about her presence. Not a big deal, but a little uncomfortable. 2) The door was opened a few times during my exam without a privacy curtain being drawn. Again, not a huge deal, but uncomfortable. My main complaints come from the post-appointment experience. Dr. Marashi ordered several tests for me, and the usual protocol is that patients have to schedule another appointment to get their results. I asked if I could receive the results by phone to avoid paying for another in-person appointment. Dr. Marashi said that was fine. However, I had to call the office about 5 times over the course of the next three months to finally get my results back. Although I was supposed to talk to Dr. Marashi, he's extremely hard to get ahold of because he works at several offices. Finally a nurse just gave me the results by phone. Finally, my biggest complaint is that I had a huge out-of-pocket cost for the appointment, and feel like I was misled about the costs of several tests that were performed. What's more, I think the tests were unnecessary. The office staff were very unhelpful about how I can deal with my unexpectedly large bill. I have given up trying to contact Dr. Marashi to get a better explanation of why the tests were necessary.
He is one of the most caring doctors I've ever been to.
I had the first appointment of the day and was not seen for almost two hours. Other than the extraordinary wait time I have no complaints.
It was a excellent visit
Dr. Marashi is extremely personable and professional.
Very empathetic and competent doctor. Was very in tuned to my concerns and addressed them in a knowledgable and comforting manner. I am happy I found him! Staff is great too.
We love this guy! He is very practical, sincere and reassuring about my pregnancy.
Through, professional, methodical and very gentle doctor. I would recommend him to my friends.
Dr. Marashi really seems to care a lot about his patients. He actually listens and always takes the time to explain things. He's great!
The wait was rediculous!
Dr Amir has a very warm personality. He really listens to what you are saying, which can be hard to get from doctors. He takes the time to explain the answer to your questions and to explain why he recommends something. I found him to be very easy to talk to and very thorough with his exam. Thanks to him I know the cause of my problem and to date not one gynecologist has accurately diagnosed me or taken the time to find the source of my pain.
Dr. Marashi was very nice and he was thorough in his examination. He took the time to explain things to me and I will definitely be going back to see him.
The best doctor ever!
He was super nice, professional, and informative. I came ready with a bunch of questions and he answered them all (some non-GYN related). He was also very helpful and unbiased on my repro planning thoughts, which sometimes I have received a little judge-y advice on. I totally recommend going to Dr. Marashi. Also, as for the wait time, I think there was an emergency or something at the hospital (I was in the hospital office where he works once a week) that delayed ym appt, so I dont think it would be a normal occurrence. I will be back for a follow up in 2 weeks.
A beautiful building at 81 Will- even though the area isn't all that nice, it is very convenient. The staff and nurses were very pleasant. The wait was not too bad, and Dr. Marashi seems terrific. Very relaxed, sensible and compassionate. Looking forward to my next visit.
I was satisfied with my initial visit with Dr. Marashi, he was pleasant, attentive, informative and took his time answering my questions. I have only one complaint about my appt. The ultrasound technician rushed through the examination, I was eager to hear my baby's heart beat, she turned on the sound for a good three seconds and turned it off before I even realized what I was hearing. She did not show me my baby on the ultrasound nor did she give me a picture to take home. Dr. Marashi came in and she was out the door without giving me anything to wipe off the ultrasound gel she applied. My dress remained wet even though I tried my best to wipe it off on my own.
His bedside manner is excellent an he immediately put me at ease. For the first time in years, I feel like I have a gynecologist I can trust!
Loved him!!! He took his time to discuss my questions and concerns. Very professional and he made it so easy for me to trust him.
For the little that I was there , he was ok. But I would've preferred more time to sit and talk. It's my second pregnancy and I thought I knew it all but when I left the office I remembered all the questions I had. I would prefer to have more detailed visits going forward. Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing and I want to enjoy every bit with out any concerns.
I had an appointment with doctor Amir marashi and end up seeing a different doctor, was surprised, but have continue with the doctor that called me .
I think he is a great doctor who is very down to earth and incredibly easy to talk to. Though the 81 Willoughby office location is awful and a bit of a joke. I waited for around 2 hours before I was seen. The staff in that office is incredibly unorganized, but it isn't just for Dr. Mirashi, it's for numerous gynecologists who practice there. So the wait was pretty bad, but he's really great.
Dr. Amir was really great! He made me feel comfortable and was very attentive to my questions.
Nice guy overal. He seems to have much experience and knowledge in his craft. But i felt very rushed and my questions werent actually answered. Nurses had no compassion. I didn't feel welcomed.
Dr. Marashi made an excellent impression on me during my first visit. He answered all my questions and exhuded a warm and caring personality. The exam was thourough and I was in and out of the office in a little over an hour, which I consider quick based on past experiences at other OB/GYNs.
I was impressed. I will go again. If you come here you will be surrounded by professionals an will be out within an hour..
The doctor was great his assistANT WAS RUDE and rough the reception staff was great the wait time horrible only when I was ready to leave and his assistant hurt me during my sonogram being rough on a pregnant woman is when I saw him he was very informative I really like him as a person. He calmed me down some but I am still in some pain.
Only complaint is because of how good he is you will have long wait times women flock to him
They actually tried to stick me with a PA by just sending her in to do my PAP. I promptly asked for Dr. Marashi and then she went and got him. He was friendly, nice and very thorough. I did overhear (along with the other 10 people in the waiting area), one staff member yelling at another staff member (made us all uncomfortable). That was unfortunate and very unprofessional. Honestly, the office and location are not very nice but I can tell you the best thing about this place is the doctor (he was kind and thorough), and the efficiency of how quick I got in and out. I have to go back in a couple weeks for test results so we shall see how that goes.
Perfect fit for me. and very understanding.
First time visiting with Dr Marashi, and he made me feel extremely comfortable. He made time to listen to and answer all of my questions. Probably also one of the most thorough doctors I've ever been to. If you're looking for a new OBGYN, I would highly recommend him!
I liked his demeanor and mannerism. Will continue to see MD at this time.
This was the first tome I felt comfortable with an obgyn
Great visit! Felt super comfortable. Had never been to a male GYN before but he did a great job and was very attentive. Highly recommend.
He usually dont do the initial procedure i needed done on a Saturday (my only option due to work) he made it no problem to get it done although it would throw off his day.....Going the extra mile for a patient ..what an exemplary attitude. He has my respect!!
This office is run like a factory.
Wait time in the Willoughby St office is horrible. Tried to be seen on lunch break but was out of my office for over 2 hours. Dr. Marashi is great though. He listened to my concerns and even diagnosed an issue no other gyn had told me about. I would see him again but schedule my appointments on Saturday so I don't miss work.
He was very polite and made me feel comfortable . He was very concerned about my asthma and referred me to a doctor who specialize people with asthma. It was a great experience. Looking forward to my next visit. :)
Dr. Marashi was both thorough and extremely pleasant. I usually prefer female OBGYNs but I felt very comfortable with this doctor. Will definitely return.
He is a wonderful human and practitioner, I am so happy to have found him.
He's great, makes you feel very comfortable and knows what he is doing. He delivered my baby girl and the experience was amazing. I plan on having him as my obgyn for as long as he remains in this profession.
Doctor Marashi was kind, thorough and his office staff was equally nice and professional. Overall, I was very happy with my visit!
What a great doctor. He took the time to answer and explain everything. I highly recommend going to the 7th ave office for personal attention and impeccable care. I highly recommend Dr Marashi.
This is a clinic where they accept walk ins. The staff is very proffesional and nice. You may not see Dr. Marashi since there are other Dr.'s that work in the office but they are all good. The office is clean and orderly and while you may have to wait a little bit, its nothing out of the ordinary. You are seen in a timely manner in an efficient and comfortable way. I would use this office again.
This was my first time to a gyn and he made me feel very comfortable.
Had a great experinece. He was very polite and very attentive. He listened to my concerns and addressed them and even found things my last gyn missed..So i think i found my new GYN. Def will b returning
If sitting down and discussing certain questions or curiosities you may have with your doctor is something important to you, Dr. Marashi a great person to see. It is my first time seeing this doctor and he made me feel very comfortable and at ease to voice any concern or question. During the exam, I felt that he was more thorough than any pervious doctor I have had. When it comes to my own body, I want to make sure all of my bases are covered. Dr. Marashi did rush the consultation prior to my first exam and he did not rush me out afterwards. I definitely am glad to have found such a great new doctor in my neighborhood!
my first time there and i had a wonderful experience, he asked the right questions, he seemed very concerned, and i was very satisfied with my visit there.
WOW!!...where do I begin. Seeing Dr Marashi for the first time i'm convinced that he's the best OBGYN i've ever dealt with. He was very professional, patient, personable and absolutely knows his stuff. He asked alot of detailed, pertinent questions that had him figre out myproblem which was later confirmed after my examination. I have found an awesome OBGYN for for life !!
It is always hard to see an OB/GYN, especially finding a new one. I found the visit to be wonderful. From the front desk to the doctor's office, to the examining room my experience was excellent. The assistant at the front desk and the nurse were both very kind, friendly and extremely helpful. The doctor was nothing but the best; he is a true professional! His feedback, explanations, and advice were very clear. I left with no doubt in my mind. I really appreciated the fact that I felt that I was getting a complete examination (labs were even done at the office) and that all my concerns were being heard and considered. I highly recommend this doctor!
