Dr. Ashraf is a very bright, friendly and gifted surgeon. I had been seeing another practice for dermal fillers but will now only see Dr. Ashraf as she continues to do a much better job and I couldn’t be happier. She is an excellent doctor who I highly recommend.

I chose Dr. Ashraf after researching and reading patient reviews. I was looking for a surgeon who would answer all my questions, take the time to understand what I wanted, and had a great manner and great results (opposite of my first PS). After reconstruction following a double mastectomy, I was very dissatisfied with the outcome – even in clothing you could see the deformity. Dr. Ashraf examined me, talked me through options for a secondary revision, and assured me this was fixable. Scheduling surgery was easy, and Dr. Ashraf gave me her cell number in case I had any issues before my follow up visit. Sure enough, I did need to call at 2am after having surgery at 11am, send pictures, and get advice. My experience with her has been wonderful! I fully recommend her to anyone looking for a great plastic surgeon!

I'm a 38-year-old, African American woman who recently underwent gastric bypass surgery almost two years ago. I'm providing facts so people can form their own opinion. After the consult and following up with my insurance carrier, I felt dismissed and led astray just so she wouldn't have to deal with potential difficulty with insurance coverage.
I scheduled a consult with Dr. Ashraf to discuss a desired panniculectomy procedure. She told me the insurance companies recently changed their requirements and to qualify for insurance coverage, the skin would need to be mid-thigh. She stated she wouldn't bother with taking photos bc my skin was nowhere near meeting the requirement. She also mentioned issues of her office having to go back and forth with insurance companies for payment bc of the requirement change. Still interested (as I knew there would be a possibility of me paying out-of-pocket), I asked about the cost of the alternative procedure (fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty), she recommended. She told me she'd send a breakdown of the cost that afternoon. No one from the office ever followed up or sent me the cost. I reached out to my company benefits coordinator and plan administrator and was told our plan had not changed and stated " coverage for the surgery is determined when your doctor precertifies with the authorization party and provides documentation of medical necessity". I'm glad I followed up w/my carrier bc the result of my consult with Dr. Ashraf was leading me to look into alternative payment arrangements for suregery.

Had a decent experience with the surgeon. But they apparently wrote down my address incorrectly, never called, and then sent a small co-payment for service to a debt collector. I never received their bill, and they would have easily discovered my correct address if they had tried (it's unique and near by). They also had my phone number and could have called. Instead my credit score is impacted.

Took over an hour past my appointment time to be seen (no apology or explanation) and then she spent less than 15 minutes with me. She seems extremely knowledgeable but I wish she spent more time explaining things and getting to me on time.

She's a good doctor but seems annoyed by my questions. The reason I go there and pay for the appointment is precisely to address my concerns. The consultation does not last more than 10-15 minutes, while the wait is almost half an hour.

My son fell and needed his laceration repaired I was very impressed with Dr. Ashraf's work. There is minimal scarring around the area. Furthermore, Dr. Ashraf was so patient and kind with him. She has a wonderful bedside manner and addressed all of my concerns. Will be visiting her again if I ever need a plastic surgeon.

I had breast surgery with another physician and was unhappy with the results.I went to Dr. Ashraf for a secondary revision and couldn't be happier with my results. Dr. Ashraf did an amazing job with my reconstruction. Furthermore, she was very attentive to my care. Her Alexandria office is stunning and her staff went above and beyond in coordinating my care. Overall extremely pleasant experience.

I was not 100% confident going through with a tummy tuck. With the help of Dr. Ashraf, I felt reassured and confident with my decision. She was very informative, supportive, and made me feel comfortable about my procedure. Following my procedure, Dr. Ashraf and her staff were dilligent about my follow-up care. I am very happy with my results! Most plastic surgery practices are daunting, but Dr. Ashraf and her staff made me feel very relaxed!

Dr. Ashraf was amazing and very helpful during my appointment. I had a consultation for botox & fillers and she was very patient. She made sure to explain the injection process in detail. What I liked about her is she didn't push me to get a specific treatment but listened to my concerns and proposed the best solution. Will certainly be going to her for my botox from now on.

Dr. Ashraf helped me regain my trust in surgeons! The surgeon that did my initial liposuction left me with unwanted dents and marks that made me more self conscious. Dr. Ashraf assured me that this could be fixed. She alleviated any concerns I had by answering all of my questions. I was very pleased with the professionalism of both staff and doctor. I am beyond pleased with my experience! Thank you Dr. Ashraf!!

As a parent I felt so at ease after talking to Dr. Ashraf on our first visit. She explained everything so I would understand exactly what would be done to my son's breast. I would highly recommend her for any future surgery or Lipo! She has changed my son's life forever!
