Dr. Bezael DANTZ was able to immediately diagnose me, and prescribed me with the right medication the first time. He answered all of my questions. He is extremely professional and very reliable. I highly recommend him.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Dantz for 24 years and can’t recommend any physician more highly. He is the most caring and responsive doctor I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. The breadth of his knowledge is unparalleled when compared to others. This puts his psychiatric treatment worlds above what can be done by looking at only one small part of the picture. That is, he pays attention to general health attributes and determines psychiatric effects, and vice versa. Dr. Dantz stays abreast (more than others) with new medical/psychiatric research and seeks this out for particular conditions if needed. When my standby antidepressant of ~22 years for some reason failed to work, he found a solution. In the same vein, I also appreciate his knowledge of the off-label use of medications, which has helped me tremendously. In short, Dr. Dantz checks all the boxes indicating a superb psychiatrist and physician but then goes above and beyond. He is kind, sympathetic, and accommodating.
I have been seeing Dr. Dantz for over a decade, even when logistics have made it challenging, because he's well worth it to me. He's the only psychiatrist that has ever treated me like a human being first and a patient second. He listens to my concerns about my moods and motivation levels, my medications and side effects, and what is or isn't working for me. More importantly, he respects my intelligence, the independent research I do, and my opinions on my treatment. I never feel like I'm being told what to do or pushed into taking a medication. He also responds incredibly quickly to requests for prescription refills or questions via text message. Frankly, my only complaint about him is that some day he's going to retire, and then I won't know what to do. Hopefully that's a ways off.
By the time I had my first appointment with Dr. Bezalel Dantz I was already disillusioned with medical professionals and medication. When I met him, I told him “I’ll do whatever you tell me, but at this point I’m highly doubtful anything will work". I don’t know if he took that as a challenge, but I have never been more relieved to be proven wrong. Dr. Dantz is the first doctor I’ve had that wasn’t happy with “fine” or “good enough”, he always wants me to feel better than I did during our previous appointment. At times it felt like he wanted to beat my illness more than I did. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and he uses that knowledge to perfect my treatment plan. He isn’t afraid to make changes or course correct if things aren’t working. He takes the time to ensure I understand what the medications do, why he is prescribing them, and possible next steps depending on how my body responds. Dr. Dantz made me feel seen and cared for. I am profoundly grateful to have him as my doctor.
I struggled with trichotillomania for years, and none of the prescription medications I tried seemed to make a real difference. Eventually, Dr. Dantz recommended an over-the-counter supplement—NAC (N-acetylcysteine)—that I could order from Amazon. I was skeptical at first, especially because it felt strange to be prescribed something herbal rather than pharmaceutical. But to my surprise, it genuinely helped reduce my urges and gave me a sense of control I hadn’t felt in a long time.
I have been working with Dr Dantz for 16 years for psychiatric care. He’s caring, methodical, and most importantly he doesn’t give up even when the medications available don’t always do their job well. Even though he is primarily focused on my mental health, he takes a holistic approach to making sure that my body and mind are functioning welldon’t always do their job well. Even though he is primarily focused on my mental health, he takes a holistic approach to making sure that my body and mind are functioning well together. He’s the kind of Doctor who will go the distance with you. I wholeheartedly recommend him without equivocation.
Dr.Dantz is a professional you can truly trust. He’s timely, vastly knowledgeable, and has genuine care/concern for all of his patients. When you visit him, Dr.Dantz is not simply checking off boxes; he is asking a variety of questions to ensure he is prescribing you with the best possible treatment plan available. I would recommend him to anybody who needs care.
Dr. Dantz was very thorough with his intake of information to gain insight into what was going on with me. His treatment plan was understandable and he’s very easy to talk to. Dr. Dantz has been very accessible to any problem and concern I’ve had. Great physician. Highly recommend.
