So glad I found Bergen Optometry! Although I wasn’t seen by the provider that I booked on ZocDoc, I was seen by Dr. Lee and it was a great experience. The office and staff were lovely. I was seen right away and all my questions were answered. I am very happy to have found this practice and I look forward to my next visit!

Dr. Goonetilleke was very nice, knowledgable, and willing to answer all my questions. She examined my eyes and lids, measured my prescription for eyeglasses, and fitted me for contact lenses. Prior to her examination a series of eye images were taken by a lab tech using different machines. Dr. Goonetilleke examined the images and spoke to me about them. She also had me try on some sample contact lenses to make sure they were a good fit. Overall, it was a good experience.

I made a day-of appointment for an eye infection and the staff was very kind and welcoming. I had a little bit of a wait time due to a previous patient who was quite difficult and unreasonably raising her voice to a very calm and understanding staff. I could hear her yelling while I was waiting outside the doctor’s room. Dr. Goonetilleke and the entire staff was all amazingly patient and kind to this patient until they left. When it was finally my turn, Dr. G was very apologetic of the wait time, but I doubted the wait was their fault. When I explained my symptoms I felt extremely comfortable. Dr. G is an amazing listener. She diagnosed my issue and scheduled a follow up. I had a great experience overall despite the wait!
