What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
I love being able to connect with my patients, encouraging appropriate lifestyle modifications, if needed, to help them live their best life. I am also passionate about destigmatizing mental health disorders and normalizing conversations about them and coping strategies.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
I feel the provider and patient need to have a dialogue to tease out the problem-and the cause-to come up with appropriate treatment plans that are agreed upon by both parties. It is important to have an open, non-judgmental approach and mutual respect for the best results.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I spend a lot of time outdoors running, hiking, and working in the yard when the weather is warm. I also teach vinyasa and yin yoga at my local studio.

I paid a lot of money and got nothing out of this. She told me to see a different specialist which means more money. I booked an appointment with that specialist and out of the blue she canceled the appointment. There was one prescription I had been taking for years and my old provider canceled my refills since I wasn’t his patient anymore. I found out about this yesterday so I’ve been stressed out trying to get that filled. I’m leaving tomorrow for my kids’ spring break. I’m just so worried about quitting cold turkey. No one didn’t care.
