The Inland Empire is where Dr. Flannery was born and raised. He is happy to serve his community as a specialty care provider in gastroenterology. Dr. Flannery had already been accepted to the University of California, Los Angeles after high school and had intended to enroll there, but instead enlisted in the United States Army. Prior to being awarded a Green to Gold Scholarship, he was as a medic in the 82nd Airborne Division. He attended East Carolina University in North Carolina using his scholarship and graduated with a B.S. in Physician Assistant Studies. In addition, he received his commission as an Army Officer after completing four years of Army ROTC. He worked in an Urgent Care for three years as a physician assistant before starting at Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Flannery did his internship and internal medicine residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in downtown Phoenix, AZ. During his final year of residency, he held the position of Chief Internal Medicine Resident. He continued on to Loma Linda University to complete his gastroenterology fellowship. Dr. Flannery is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal medicine. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, mountain biking, and backpacking.
