About Dr. Daniel Laby

Daniel Laby is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who earned his Doctor of Medicine from George Washington University. He completed his internship and residency at The George Washington University Hospital, followed by a fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center. He is currently an Associate Clinical Professor at the State University of New York College of Optometry and a former Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Laby has served as staff Ophthalmologist for several professional sports teams, including the NY Mets, Boston Celtics, and LA Kings. He has also been featured on numerous TV stations such as Fox News and CBS News, as well as in various newspapers. Trained in Ophthalmology, Dr. Laby specializes in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus, and Sports Vision.

I have no issue with dr Laby. However, the office staff is terrible. The lady at reception desk is so rude. She is not doing her job at all. We were at waiting room for more than 30min. She was in a call(definitely not for work) with very loud laughter and voice for more than 30min. I think she is doing FaceTime with family or friends because she is on speaker, I can hear very clear what she is talking about. Unless she owns this practice, I can’t think of other reason why she has not been fired. And she seems unhappy when speaking to the visitors or when visitors have questions. I almost asked her if everything ok today, why you looks so unhappy? But she seems very happy just now in that more than 30min call. We are here for the service, not to look at that lady’s face like we owe her something. I hope the owner of this practice will see this review and help that lady improve her working ethic, or find someone who fit this position. Otherwise, you are losing customers.
